"For my main course, I ordered the Kiki’s Soul Plate, which included four wings, a corn muffin (today it was a blueberry muffin), and two sides: mac and cheese and collard greens. I also added an extra side of sweet potato soufflé. The restaurant has a spacious interior with nice decor, and there's an area for live music, as well as mounted TVs and a bar. The food was served hot and fresh, and the tea was enjoyable. The portion sizes were generous, making it great value for the money.
The chicken was well-seasoned, and the wings were large. The mac and cheese was creamy and flavorful—not at all dry. I’m used to shredded collard greens, but the larger leaves were cooked perfectly, and the sweet potato soufflé was excellent. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. I was too full to finish mine and had enough left for another meal. My husband ordered the red velvet waffle, which was beautifully presented, and he devoured it quickly.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience with great food in a lovely setting for a Southern meal. My entree was about $11, with an additional $3 for the extra side, which is definitely reasonable considering the portion sizes and the delicious taste of everything."
