"When I went back for more food, he toasted it to me, but when I said thank you, he just walked away. Then, a Black man entered and ordered food, and the chef watched his every move as if he was worried he might steal something. After that, I noticed that he would stare at me to ensure I wasn't doing anything wrong whenever I stood up.
As my friend and I left, she turned to wave goodbye and thanked him; he was very friendly to her and said goodbye warmly. I understand that some customers can be disruptive, but it's utterly disrespectful to generalize based on race. Every customer deserves equal respect and treatment.
