"My wife and I absolutely love this restaurant. In my opinion, you should skip the other franchised locations in town and come straight here—this is the original, and it truly is the best! As for parking, there’s a lot right next to the restaurant, plus a larger lot directly across the street. They also have a protected intersection for easy access."

"Great food but you better go there to eat. Past three pick up orders have been someone else's order or missing items. Worst part is that they don't care so don't expect it to get better. The original location is the best by far. This location is the evil twin."

"Love their food! I had shrimp tacos and they were scrumptious. The black beans were very flavorful. There is a neverending supply of chips, salsa and bean dip. Our waitress Meghan was the best quick to observe when we needed a water refill or chip refill. She checked on us to see if we needed anything. She was on the ball with every customer. "This is a family favorite, but I was very disappointed with our visit over the weekend. We were a large group 8 from 4 households but our group is often larger. We were there for lunch after church, which is when the families usually go there. We were crammed into a corner booth designed for a smaller group, even though a larger booth in the main seating area sat empty the entire time we were there. We received plastic spoons with our coffee. Our server said they often use plastic when they run out of spoons. The booth was set for four. We had to request place settings for the rest of our group. On the positive side, the food is still delicious. All meals arrived hot and as ordered. My nephew has serious food allergies and the staff prepared a non menu item for him. Pre meal chips were frequently refilled, as were our drinks. 9/26/23 Went to this restaurant again last night and I am still disappointed. There is no salt and pepper on the table. You have to ask for it. You are provided a fork but no knife. The iced tea was so watered down that it had no tea flavor at all. Luckily, the food was delicious and served hot. This restaurant is a favorite of my family. Otherwise, I would stop going there."

"This place was very delicious. The food had so much flavor. Everything was very delicious. The chips was a little hard, they are not homemade. But we got a big container with a lid on it to take home for the mild salsa.. The hot red chilli was really good.. We loved it. We will be back to try something else on the menu. FYI this place is a pricey. Normally we spend around 40-45 for our family of 5. This meal came out to almost 75.00. So we took off 3 tacos and it went down to 45.00. Not sure why it dropped so much but ok. Just pay attention to your bill. I don't think we will bring the kids next time."

"More Good Food in Espanola. I guess the history of El Parasol is that a cook from El Paragua decided to go off on his own and opened up El Parasol next dppr. They both translate roughly to The Umbrella, and the two are very different. El Parasol is a shack, but the food is still high quality. Their best offerings are the carne guisada burrito, similar to the one from next door, and the chilaquiles, which you don't find much in northern New Mexico, but their version is hardy, uses beans, and is a good version of nachos."
