"Whenever I travel, I always make it a point to visit the highest-rated doughnut shop in the area. This one had great reviews, so we decided to give it a try! The staff was incredibly friendly, which made for a nice experience. We ordered half a dozen doughnuts—three were recommended by the server, and we chose the other three ourselves. Our selections included brown butter glazed, blueberry bourbon basil, citrus olive oil, toasted almond streusel, Molly Ringwald, strawberry shortcake pop, and the original glaze.
While all the doughnuts were tasty, they didn't offer much variety. It seemed like the shop only fries the dough and then adds different frostings or toppings. The flavors were indeed unique, but ultimately, the dough itself was the same across the board. This made it feel like I was eating a similar doughnut no matter which flavor I tried. I'm not trying to be overly harsh, but I feel this place has room for improvement. There was nothing that truly set them apart. On a positive note, it is a charming little shop!"
