"I live over a hour away from The Twisted Crab. this is the closest seafood boil near me.Two times previously i ordered take out and they forgot my crab legs (THE MOST IMPORTANT PART). The first time i let it slide because i wasn’t willing to drive over an hour just for crab legs the second time I called and the man said he can’t refund me but he can write my name down to come get the crab legs free of charge since they are the ones who forgot. Tonight i came in and asked for the man who told me to come and the server informed me that he doesn’t work there anymore which means i had to basically let it slide again.Tonight was my first time actually eating inside the restaurant and the server never asked did we need refills/another drink etc etc. My partner had to ask another server for a take out tray and he said okay and never came. We were looking for our original server just to see him and the other servers (including the one my partner asked for a tray) laughing by the bar instead of making sure the customers were alright. The original server only walked by once and as he was walking by he said “are we alright” and was already passed the table before we could answer instead of standing there waiting for a response.I end this to say this is a place of business. i’m not saying i don’t want the workers to have fun and enjoy their job because i 100% don’t mind the side convo but i would just respect and understand it more if they stopped at-least every few minutes to make sure we were okay then go back to talking and laughing."

"Before I could take a seat at the bar for dinner. The bartender started to complain about her entire life. When I go out to eat, and spend 215.00 dollars, by myself, the last thing I expect is poor customer service . One of the waitresses had to wait 5 minutes for the bartender to return to her post just to get yelled at about the fact everyone knows she has worked 2 doubles in a row. I do not appreciate her yelling at the waitress. I just went there for crab legs, which were tasty, I ordered alligator bites as an appetizer. They came out as tiny little pieces of fried dough. So small I could not use my fork to eat them. I understand everyone has bad days. But when you are in the hospitality business, the second you step in the front door, there should be a smile on your face until the time you clock out. I have been in this business and owned a restaurant ,So I am familiar with the proper way a restaurant is run. The service was so poor, and the food is so so over priced. I Never ever intend to eat there again. This was the 3rd time and the last time. The last time, I was finished with my meal, one of there buckets of seafood. Before my Husband got his dinner. There is no excuse for this. In this business, to be professional, you must know how to time meals so a couple can eat together at the same time. He waited over 10 minutes just to get a beer. The bartenders at the time did not even know how to make common drinks. It is way over priced and if the service had been better, that would have helped make up for the lack of inexperienced the kitchen. They should not be in business as they do not know what they are doing. I Do Not recommend this restaurant at All!!!"

"Okay today i am giving this place a bad review (Father’s Day) because i Ordered 2 pounds of Headless Shrimp with Cajun Garlic butter season MILD with an extra corn because that’s what my husband likes. Mind you each pound already comes with 2 potatoes and a corn and i have ordered extra corn. Well the first thing is I HAD NO POTATOES FOR EACH ORDER AND ONE CORN. Nothing what so ever and then they gave me SPICY and not mild….My husband already doesn’t do spicy because it messes his stomach up. Then on top of that the shrimp tasted like pure rubber. and it wasn’t even 2 pounds when i weighed it. so for me to live 35 mins away from the place to drive there and back home is already a hour drive all together was such a disappointment. Well anyways i contacted the place and spoke with “Laura” And at first it was they would give me credits for my order and write my name down. Then “Vivian” i guess the manager it is…Called me back and was like that i can bring back the food and get it remade or they can give me the credit for the “Potato and corn”….Well listen like i said at the first half of the review i live 35 mins away so that’s an hour round trip and Gas ain’t cheap lol so no i was not about to drive back the same day AT ALL. So i requested for them to do it another day and they told me that i’m only getting credited a potato and corn that is like 2 dollars… vs my $55 meal i just paid for… The food looks good of course but how it looks does not look how it tastes. I used to be a regular here but i will no longer be one anymore."

"Delish! Had lunch this Saturday well today) with my parents and we all enjoyed it! First time hot potters! Weekend does dinner price all day, and it isn't a cheap meal $33, after tip and all my total was $43ish) but honestly it isn't too bad for the area, atmosphere, and the fact it's all you can eat seafood my dad was throwing back that shrimp like no one's business haha). Such a variety of meats and veggies to choose from. Huge collection of sauces in the sauce bar and an ice cream machine plus other desserts all included in the price. Even nice meats like lamb, nice beef, and crabs are included. We arrived around 2:00 on a Saturday I was told it'll be a 45 minute wait but I'll wait ended up really only being about 25ish minutes before we got a text saying they were ready for us. We were just browsing the Valentine's flowers at the Safeway in the same building. Our waiter showed us how the whole ordering works from the touch screen select your soup base, then just tap on all the toppings that you want and they will bring them out and they can continually bring them out if you keep ordering them while you eat, normally there is also a conveyor belt but I think with covid they shut that down). They showed us how to use the little stove tops on our table as well. I'm not 100% sure if we use the little bowl and plate they gave us correct but from what I saw just by glancing around you use the big pot of soup for all your cooking and then you use the big spoon to put what you want to eat into your small little bowl giving you a chance to let it kind of cool off a bit before you bite into it and then you just continuously scoop out of your big bowl as you want more. They give you a soup spoon and chopsticks. My parents weren't 100% confident in their chapstick skills so were able to get forks to help with some of the items, just ask. I was fine with just chopsticks, The meats are already chopped up small for you, and the veggies cook down quick. Once your soup gets to a boil you'll find the food cooks very quick and it which is nice as my dad was able to continuously just keep ordering shrimp lol It was a very fun experience for us and we really enjoyed the meal. It was filling, tasty, and well balanced with meats and plenty of vegetables. Very nice variety of meats and veggies that you may not normally see everyday. Definitely something for everybody."
