"I ordered a pepperoni pizza, which arrived 16 minutes later. I was disappointed to find that it seemed to be a plain pizza that had been sitting out for a while, with pepperoni added on and reheated. The result was a greasy mess with lukewarm, raw pepperoni. When I tried to pull the slices apart, the cheese and pepperoni came off the adjacent slices. The sauce was lacking, and the dough and cheese seemed to be lower-quality, store-bought products. This pizzeria is not up to par. I ordered from the Slice app to try a new spot, but I regretted it. I will stick to Romano's as my go-to local pizzeria."

"I keep giving this place another chance, but unfortunately, it's been hit or miss. I ordered broccoli rabe with garlic and oil and added shrimp for an extra $5, but the shrimp was missing. The pasta was dry and tasted stale, almost as if it had been reused. To make matters worse, there was a large clump of old, dried cheese in the middle, which had bits of debris that weren't present in the rest of the dish. As someone with a dairy allergy, I can't eat cheese, so the entire dish was inedible. From now on, I'll be sticking with John's Pizza on Parsons."

"I always order from this restaurant since I work a couple blocks away from here the food is always great . I always order a Cesar Salad with chicken. One time I ordered they did not put chicken in it. I contacted Slice sent them a picture regarding this since they are charging me additional fee for chicken. They kept telling Slice that no it had chicken there was no mistakes they refused the refund. Called myself and they I told them what happened they said they are willing to drop off the chicken I said no thank you would like the refund please said ok and will contact slice to get the refund. A day later slice emailed me that they still believe the order was correct declined my refund. So disappointing cause iI had the proof and theres video footage where I work I even showed the salad to other employees that worked at the school. sadly after this i will not be purchasing here no more."

"EDIT: Upon seeing my review, the owner contacted me. I am certainly willing to give them another try and support a business that shows they genuinely care about their customers experience.First tried Pizzabar a few months ago because they offered vegan pizza. It was tasty and we were pleased. Maybe we had low expectations for vegan pizza or maybe it was just better then. Last night we ordered a regular pizza and a side of meatballs. They were both completely tasteless. We ended up dousing the pizza with garlic powder and hot sauce which we never do. Thinking it was just the pizza we tried the meatballs those and the sauce alone were bland. Very disappointing. Didnt even save the leftover pieces which NEVER happens in my house. Felt like wasted money."

"Easily one of the best pizzerias on Long Island hands down. The pizza here is absolutely phenomenal. Personal favorites of mine are regular (cheese), pepperoni, regular sicilian, grandma, and margarita. Absolutely delicious. The staff here are so incredibly kind and outgoing and are always so friendly and make you feel at home. Silvio Tom are two of the most genuine and kindest individuals who will treat you like family every time. Plenty of tables to sit and the place has a relaxed environment and very pleasant. "Many years ago, when I was a kid growing up in Rego Park, Avellino was our local pizza place, and my mom would send me over their every other week or so to carry home a large pie for dinner. I haven't been there in about 30 years because I've lived inFlorida, North Carolina, and Virginia. I'm back in town and met two friends for dinner last night. One suggested Avellino, and Imust say, it was wonderful returning to a beloved restaurant. The food is still great and very reasonably priced. I had thegnocchi with pesto and bolognese sauce. Excellent, and I'm more than old enough to have a beer with dinner now as well. Myfriends enjoyed their entrees too. The staff there was very friendly and took wonderful care of us. It was an unexpectedpleasure to discover, in these uncertain times, that a gem from my past still sparkles as brightly today."

"We dined at the restaurant on Saturday night, arriving for our 6:30 reservation, and we were seated immediately. After placing our order, we were served some bread that resembled pizza but without cheese. A large carafe of ice water on the table was a nice touch. Although the place was busy, the service was quite good. I had the clams with linguine, which was delicious, though I was disappointed to find two clearly broken shells in my dish. My husband tried the bruschetta veal Milanese, which was excellent, but unfortunately, the veal was overcooked."

"Stopped in this evening to grab a vegan slice for my sister in law. Dan made her the best vegan vodka personal pie she’s ever had. I had a personal regular pie and it was delicious! Dan was superrrrrrrr nice. You can tell he’s a genuinely good soul and really wants his customers to enjoy the food. 100% going back. What really moved me was a sign he has on his window , recognizing that homeless people steal food out of his garbage and welcoming them in for pizza and a beverage. Wish I could attach the photo. There’s some good left in this world and you can find it here with Dan and his food."

"My coworker and I called at 11:30 AM to order two lunch specials of penne alla vodka with chicken. When we arrived, the staff informed us that the total would be $38 for the two specials. We were taken aback, as each lunch special is priced at $12.95, making the total should have been around $25. "We were late for our reservation, but Chuck's kindly held the table for us. Tableside Caesar salad was amazing. Our mains were bit of a wait, but before we could complain, our server apologized and they appeared shortly after. Amazing food and portions were well suited. Our steaks were perfectly done! Due to the small delay in our mains, manager sent over a sinful skor Sundae that although we were much too full for, we devoured. Excellent service and kudos to management for staying on top of service."

"This is our new favorite local BYOB spot. We've been twice now. The staff is very warm and friendly and the food is superb. If you like well crafted food and are willing to pay for very interesting tasting, beautifully plated food then this is a great place to go. We've been twice and both times they have been great with dietary restrictions as well. It's charming, casual enough to walk in (if you can get in!) but also a great place to take visiting friends and relatives or for a special night out or date. The Wayne area needed a place like this. We'll keep going back for sure."

"My brother frequently orders from this place, so while I was in town, I decided to give it a try. My first impression was that it was very quiet, clean, and welcoming. There was a lovely breeze coming in through the open door, bringing in fresh air. The owner and his staff were extremely friendly, always smiling. We ordered a pizza with two gelatos and a chicken roll. Oh my goodness! The pistachio and chocolate gelato (thanks to Peter for helping me pronounce it correctly, lol) was absolutely delicious—smooth and full of flavor! They also offer authentic Italian pastries that are top-notch. When we got home, we enjoyed the chicken roll and pizza, both of which were delightful! Did I mention that everything is made fresh? The prices are reasonable, and there's plenty of parking available. I will definitely visit again! Thank you, Peter, for a wonderful experience!"
