"I wish the food tasted as good as it looked. Unfortunately the only thing that tasted decent were the beignets, however be mindful that while they were good, they were not authentic tasting. The dish I got I believe it was called capiccio- it was seafood in a tomato based broth. The seafood didn't taste all that fresh, the broth tasted a little off. The best part about the dish was the parmesan bread that came with it. My daughter and I both got this dish and had much the same feedback about it. It tasted like the broth was poured over seafood that was heated up in the same liquid it may have been frozen in and not rinsed off or removed from the seafood before the broth was poured. My friend got the seafood linguine (can't remember the specific name on the menu), but the sauce clearly had butter in it that had been pretty badly burned. All you could really taste was the burnt butter. And her daughter got a club wrap... She asked for no tomatoes, but they put tomatoes. She did say that had they not put tomatoes it would have been good. She tried picking them out and the wrap ended up falling apart, so she didn't really get to enjoy it. I will say though, that we all enjoyed the appetizers- fried calamari and crispy brussel sprouts. This was my birthday dinner, so it ended up being a little extra disappointing. I remember when Downriver opened years ago and how good it was then. Wonder what happened?"

"Hyde Park, Columbus, delivered one of the most memorable dining experiences I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, the exceptional hospitality and professionalism were evident. Our server, Paul, deserves special recognition for his outstanding service. His friendliness, attentiveness, and genuine desire to enhance our dining experience made a significant impression and easily made him the best server I’ve ever encountered. We started the evening with a phenomenal Moscow Mule. Served in a traditional heavy mule cup, the cocktail had a perfect balance of flavors, setting a high standard for the night. Upon entering our private room for the event, we were greeted with an impressive display of three-tier seafood plates. Although I did not personally sample the seafood, their presentation was truly spectacular. The fried lobster, however, was an absolute standout. It ranks as one of the best appetizers I’ve ever had, boasting an exquisite taste and texture. The lamb chop lollipops were equally delightful, tender and seasoned to perfection, accompanied by a delicious sauce that complemented the meat wonderfully. Throughout the evening, both white and red wines flowed generously, each one of top-tier quality. The dessert wine, in particular, was a revelation—the best I’ve ever tasted, though I regret not knowing its name. For my main course, I chose the Ryan Day steak. While the interior was cooked to perfection as per my request, I found the charring a bit excessive for my taste. I later learned that this is a characteristic style of their cooking. Despite this, the steak’s flavor was excellent, and I would not hesitate to order it again. The French onion soup I had as an appetizer was extraordinary, undoubtedly the best I’ve ever had. Though I cannot recall the specific side dish I paired with my steak, I remember it being equally impressive, rounding out a nearly flawless meal. Overall, Hyde Park, Columbus, provided one of the top dining experiences of my life. I rate the restaurant a solid 5 out of 5, or more fittingly, an 11 out of 10. Paul’s exemplary service only amplified this remarkable evening, warranting a rating of 15 out of 10. This establishment is truly exceptional, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a superior dining experience."

"very mediocre experience for a fairly high price. there was only 1 host and the waiting staff seemed to be understated. the broth that was brought out tasted as if it was pre-baked frozen broth. it had a funny after the taste. the wound soup was more or less lukewarm and the cheese on had zero karaming. the muddles were very embarrassing. the garnels in the shrimp cocktail looked as if they had previously frozen garnels that they serve "abtauen and at home. the waitress never came to check us out after our appetizer. I asked that my new yorker strip steak is rarely cooked, but it came to share more like medium and even medium in some. I'm not sure if the sweet garnish should be eaten on the dish or if it was just for the decoration. the veggies were mostly underused. also the main rib was disappointing. it was very spoiled. I was in many steakhouses and restaurants, and I don't think I've ever seen a baked potato that wasn't divided and at least butter. the service was also quite slow. pro tipp: if you order chocolate and vanilla ice cream on the basis of the menu description, make sure that they are also hot fudge (which is by the way not hot) and cream. I ordered chocolate and vanilleeis, thought it would come out as the menu described, but I literally only have 1 shovel of each and nothing else. apparently they have to tell the waitress exactly what they want or perhaps that they want to sink an ice, although that is not what is listed on the menu. the last 2 mother days we went to ruth chris, but I complained because it is so expensive. I thought nod would be a better bargain, but the total amount was not so much less, but eating and the service was very sub par."
