"The night started with the hostess crying and being rude to walkin customers. I made a reservation, but was still seated late because the table took forever to get cleaned up from the previous party. When we were finally seated, the table next to us had their child playing on their iPad with the volume blasting. Good thing they were finishing up their meal so it didn’t last too long. We finally ordered drinks, the crab crake to start and the porterhouse steak special with a couple sides. The drinks came right away and the crab cake shortly after. The time between getting the crab cake and our main course was about mins and not once in that time period did our waitress check up on us. When we finally got our steak, it was undercooked and cold. Our sides were cold as well which led me to believe that our food was sitting out for a long time. We were extremely disappointed and just wanted to get out of the restaurant as soon as possible. So rather than sending the food back, we just quickly ate whatever we could, paid, and left. The lack of attentiveness and professionalism in that restaurant was nothing like I’ve ever seen before. I live in Tribeca and I will never come back to this restaurant again nor will I recommend it to anyone purely because of the customer service"

"This was the first time I dined at this establishment. I would personally rank this location as an above average steak house. It isn't bad nor is it great, it is a solid restaurant. We had the Ahi Tacos as an appetizer and it was excellent. We also enjoyed our cocktails a lot. When it came to our main course we had the 12oz Filet and brussel sprouts and creamed spinach. The steak wasn't as tender as I have enjoyed at other equally priced restaurants. The sides were okay again, not great. We feel we will go back and enjoy cocktails and appetizers in the future. I don't think anyone will be disappointed going here."

"We just happened upon this gem while in Gloucester today. It is a must try. The brisket melt was filling and delicious and the key lime pie was almost as good as my wife's! Our server was very knowledgeable, personable and helpful, perhaps the best we'veencountered. Thanks for a great visit! This has become our main place to eat in Gloucester. Today's lunch was typicallydelicious. I had the barbecue sliders and tomato bisque. Amazing! The attention to detail is a highlight of this restaurant. Isuggest trying it at soon as possible."

"We had a wonderful lunch before going to the theatre. The manager and our server Liza were both friendly and efficient. The salads and burgers were cooked perfectly. The service was excellent and we had plenty of time to relax before the show started. My only recommendation would be to offer a lighter lunch menu with smaller portions for those dining before the theatre. We ended up leaving quite a bit of food on our plates because the portions were so large."

"This is my second time going to a restaurant with a tasting menu. My first, Restaurant Eugene in Atlanta and the bar was set pretty high. Restaurant Gwendolyn is a very small and intimate restaurant. I believe there were only 7 tables. I did not like the fact that our table was so close to another table. I was also not very impressed with the seating accommodations. The chairs were small and wooden and the tables were small as well. There was not enough room on our table for our bottle of wine, appetizers, silverware, bread, etc. Speaking of bread, it was amazing! I was pleased to learn it was Gwendolyn's recipe that was still being used. I also loved that everything in the restaurant was locally sourced. Overall, the food was delicious! Our party had an amazing time and I would definitely go again."

"Just had breakfast here for the first time and It was amazing! … food was delicious and fresh especially the pancakes. It’s not moms cooking but pretty dam close. The service was was beyond exceptional. "Reviewing the breakfast: We ate breakfast here 4 days and tried several options. Huevos rancheros excellent and very filling. My wife and I got this almost every day, and we got by with light snacks for lunch. Ask for salsa on the side if you don't like spicy. Oso Omelette good choice and pretty filling French toast tasted great but it's a light meal, only 2 pieces Pancakes filling but not very good. A bit dry and tough, although one of our teenagers liked them and got them every day. Mountainside breakfast filling but just ok. Sausages are large but not tasty. You get a huge portion of potatoes. Side of 2 eggs is available for $7 and our kids got that often. They open at 7am, but the food doesn't start coming until around 7:30. Sleep in a bit and go at 7:20. You'll still be one of the first to get your food. The restaurant is independent of the resort so no Ikon pass discount."

"First up was the Italian sandwich. The meat was cut too thick, making it difficult to enjoy, and the bread was stale and overly large, making it hard to take a bite. Next, I tried the ham, turkey, and tuna sandwiches. All three were overloaded with mustard and mayo, which completely masked the flavors of the other ingredients. Once again, the bread was stale and just not good. I suggest saving your money and heading to Jersey Mike's instead."

"What lacked in service made up for in a dope sandwich. The guy taking the order wasn’t super friendly but for someone determined to bite into a good lunch it doesn’t make a difference!I ordered the tuna sandwich which could have had more meat but it made up for it by being on the homemade white bread which was DELICIOUS! Would have loved the option to toast the bread/whole sandwich or the opportunity to add some chipotle style aioli or Mayo but otherwise great lunch spot."
