"Really wish this place was in my area!! This is the kind of place that would thrive in Collegeville! I mean, it’s only an hour drive, but I’d legit be there all the time if I were nearer. Right off the bat, beautiful restaurant interior, especially the stunning bar. Bright and cheerful without being overbearing or passé. Modern and yet somehow cozy. Loved it! The chairs at the tables... hello, something very unexpected: you think you’re going to sit on a simple wood chair, but your butt is greeted with soft leather cushion! Nice touch. Followed by terrific service, with a kind and patient server and support crew. Love that, especially! We tried a bunch of offerings: Malanga Chips Tzaziki :4/5 Cheese Curds: 4/5 (They arrived a few minutes after their fry, meaning the jam soaked a bit more into the cues and the cheese hardened faster than one would like but that’s nitpicking— otherwise, delish) Chicken Parm 5/5 Bucatini pasta accompanied the Chx Parm 5/5 The restaurant really kept the customer’s satisfaction in mind and allow us to sub out of red sauce for the pasta and try the fontina cream sauce. They basically gave us a side pasta of another dish the White Bolognese, which was so gracious. And even more delicious! Chicken Skewers 5/5 Plain Tots 5/5 Zesty Cucumbers 4/5 (a bit salty) Vegetable Lasagne 4/5 The Shelby Burger with fries 100/5! (By far one of the best burgers I’ve had, ever... and that’s serious. I love thin patties because it gets those crispy ends when cooking on the flattop grill— I was in heaven. As was my hubby, who’s nickname growing up was “Burgers”. Really, this was the highlight of the whole shebang) Cucumber Gimlet 4/5 Coffee martini?? Can’t remember the name 5/5 We really enjoyed ourselves. The husband hasn’t shut up about the burger and it was MY meal! Please consider expanding south. We need places like you to make our lives better. Tired of national chain restaurants that suck. Shelllbbby!!"

"Have you ever got the feeling that you have been deliberately ignored at a venue because you face doesn 't fit I was ignored at Abbey Food Bar 1 April 2024 at around 8pm initially for fifteen minutes and it was not particularly busy, but eventually a bartender black roundish glasses, who looked like he was around 24. deigned to attend to me. After I had been standing on my walking stick for around fifteen minutes he then occasionally threw a disdainful stare at me whilst chatting other patrons. I had indicated that wanted slice of lime in my soda water , which was provided he then deigned to take my order of carrot cake with coconut and pecan and coconut icing and ice cream. I had never ordered food in a club environment so was unsure if I should pay at the bar but so after waiting or another fifteen minutes I took a seat and waited for for another fifteen minutes wondering what was going on I went back to the bar and he said what you want? . I had already ordered my cake off a menu which stated that it was carrot cake with coconut and pecan icing and ice cream , but when it finally arrived it was just an a cake with an unidentifiable thin white icing and certainly no ice cream and the cake which tasted sickly sweet. i expected better for $11.00. There should have been no confusion in the first place as I placed an order off the menu and he went and punched into the machine the behind bar I had never ordered food a club, as the bartender had then gone off (wordlessly) to serve other patrons. I therefore assumed that I should take a seat and that the order and bill would brought to my table . I sat down for another fifteen minutes and started to get the feeling that I was deliberately being ignored I went over and said do you not serve people with cancer does this not fit your ideal patron look ?, which got his attention He then had the chutzpah to quickly say you must have confused me with another member of staff (out of all of the other male staff members wearing that style of glasses on that particular night@ management do you feel that this is the way to treat differently-abled patrons or or no anyone for that matter anyone??"
