"Having grown up in Memphis, I was eager to try City Pork after hearing about it. Since I'm accustomed to Memphis-style BBQ, I didn’t know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised! The menu was the most diverse I've ever seen at a BBQ restaurant, and every dish seemed like it would pair just as well with wine as with beer. The place was bustling, and we struggled to find parking, but we were seated right away. The service was outstanding, although I can't remember the server's name. I'll make sure to edit that in later!"

"First off my wife and I are biased. This was our first date restaurant and in the past three decades it has been the site of many family and business memories. It has never been a disappointment, ever. Few establishments are this consistent. I have eaten my way through the menu several times now and would be hard pressed to pick a singular favorite item, here are a few suggestions: the fish Diane’s are both terrific, seafood is always fresh, can’t decide try the Steamboat Gangplank it is a ribeye grilled your way covered with their award winning crawfish ettoufe’ (ay two Fay) a regional favorite way of enjoying crawfish. For appetizer or entree Shrimp Betsy will have you wanting to crawl into the bowl to get the last drop. For your potato choice pass on the baked or fried (available anywhere USA))in favor of the paddle wheels or the stuffed which are local flavors. The paddle wheels are smothered potatoes cooked down with local Cajun sausage Cest bon! If you are just passing through make a stop you will be glad you did and consider renting a guest house on property for a small sample of life on the bayou in one of Louisiana’s prettiest and historic small towns."

"We had a few appetizers, entrees, and desserts and did a family style try-a-bit-of-everything approach. My meal was the Crawfish Enchiladas (with the smashed potatoes and some tasty carrots), which were excellent. My wife had the Crab and Crawfish Cakes appetizer as a meal, and they were wonderful, meaty cakes with relatively light breading and a flavorful sauce. "I just paid $14 for a bacon cheeseburger with fries and the burger is a good 1 1/2” smaller in diameter than the bun. This is ridiculous. And when I went to pick up my order, my fries came up just as I got to the counter. But then she picked up my burger off the counter. It was just wrapped in butcher paper, not being kept warm or anything."
