"This is hands down one of the best Chinese restaurants in the Twin Cities. They opened many years ago in a shopping mall at the front of our neighborhood. We frequently went there to grab dinner and were always satisfied completely with the service andmost of all THE CONSISTANCY OF THE FOOD. Having moved 15 miles from them 10 years ago, we still drove down several times peryear to enjoy their food. When my daughter and I went for lunch yesterday, she at 21, said to me: You know why Mei Wei issuch a great restaurant dad? Because there food is always consistent. It always tastes exactly like you expect it to. What achip off the old block...I 've been telling her for years that this is the most important quality a restaurant can have. Ownersare friendly and courteous. Service is always good. If you have time to venture out and drive to get here, or if you live in thesouth metro this will not be a wasted trip! Head to Mei Wei and enjoy a well prepared, flavorful, and consistent meal! Ihighly recommend trying the Pan Fried Dumplings, Singapore Fried Rice Noodles, and Mushu Pork!"

"I ordered five entrees for my family for dinner and was disappointed to find that the rice was crunchy. This issue affected both the white rice served alongside the entrees and the rice in the fried rice dish. As someone of Chinese descent, I don't consider myself too picky about food, but undercooked rice is definitely a pet peeve of mine. On the bright side, the rest of the food was delicious, and the staff was very polite. It’s a great advantage to have the option of enjoying both Japanese and Chinese cuisine in one place."

"My favorite dish here is the aubergines with garlic sauce. Unlike many restaurants that overload this dish with a thick, sweet sauce and little else, this place allows for much more nuance. One of the things I appreciate about this dish here is that I can customize it to my liking. Today, I had an absolutely delightful experience. There were a variety of fresh vegetables alongside generous portions of eggplant. I was able to enjoy it hot, and it was just perfect. It wasn’t overly sweet, had a mild salty flavor, and the sauce was exquisite. I am truly grateful for such a heavenly experience. Thank you!"

"This is the only place I go to for Chinese food. The dishes are always fresh and of high quality, served generously. It is truly delicious, although on the expensive side. They offer a wide variety of options for lunch and dinner, including dishes from Kantone, Szechuan, and Hunan kitchens, as well as healthy steamed options. The restaurant has a few tables for dining in, but most customers opt for takeout or delivery. The staff behind the counter are protected by a double plexiglass barrier for Covid safety, and all workers wear masks. I am very impressed by this humble little restaurant."

I will be back the Buffet was delicious but I did takeout for later. It is so good it’s perfect. I am back Egg foo yong is my favorite Chinese dish. It is very hard to find in restaurants now and worse if you do find it, it does not taste like it should. Today, my egg for young is perfect. Each ingredient was lovingly made, tender eggs inside and perfect crust achieved. That's not easy. The pork in my egg foo yong was roasted to perfection, moist, tender, full of flavor. The sauce must be perfect and it is. I will never eat it anywhere else as long as you make it for me, but I will be brave to try my other dishes too. Thank you for a long-term relationship and my meal made me very happy today."

"Decent food. Pretty much your typical Chinese-American takeout. The fried dumplings were likely some of the worst I've ever had. The wrapper, which should be a relatively thin wonton, was some sort of puffy, almost bread-like, I-don't-know-what, which sucks, because I always like to order potstickers, and the staff had about as much personality as my left shoe, but otherwise, it was decent."

"Asian has been serving delicious food for decades! I used to enjoy lunch there and often brought Asian dishes to the office. Everyone loved it! My colleagues would request it time and again. That was over twenty years ago, and Asian's food still tastes fantastic. Not only is the food excellent, but the prices are also very reasonable. Just make sure to bring cash, as that's their only form of payment. Sometimes you'll see people hanging out in front of the restaurant (probably because they know it's cash-only), but they're not a threat—most likely just trying to save up for something from the liquor store next door. Oh, and navigating the parking lot for the liquor store can be tricky. Despite this, the quality and price of the food make any inconvenience worth it!"

Called them and the manager said it's not his problem at all and he can't do anything about it. "The staff at this restaurant are incredibly rude and incompetent. I placed a delivery order to my office, and they completely messed it up. My order was supposed to be shrimp foo young, but instead, I received pork. Shrimp and pork don’t even look alike! The fried rice was undercooked, yellow, and had a strange sour taste – it seemed like it had either gone bad or wasn’t cooked properly. To top it all off, they didn’t include any fortune cookies! Seriously, how can a Chinese restaurant not provide fortune cookies? They also don’t honor their own coupons. A delivery driver left a stack of menus with vouchers, but when I tried to use one, they told me it was expired, even though none of the vouchers had an expiration date or mentioned that they couldn’t be used for lunch. This is a business, after all – who is here for dinner? I would strongly recommend avoiding this place at all costs."

"It’s good, inexpensive, fast, and open late. Service was excellent, and the order over the phone was executed perfectly. Will it win awards for authenticity? No. But when your child says: “More broccoli, please”, the restaurant gets an extra star. We ordered the large Shrimp with broccoli and the large Shrimp Szechuan style, and both had lots of shrimp and vegetables. For less than $25 three of us had dinner and we didn’t even eat half of one of the containers of rice. This place is superior to the Wawa and McDonald’s 10 minutes away. It is worth the extra 4 minutes out of I-476. But you will need an EZ-pass to be able to use the exit."

"After placing our order, we quickly noticed how warm the restaurant was— the thermometer read 78 degrees. To make matters worse, we saw items being stored in the dining area. When our meal arrived, it looked and smelled delicious, and we had each ordered different chicken dishes. However, upon taking a bite, we were disappointed to find the chicken was tough and poorly cooked. We both tried a piece, but ended up spitting it out. We decided not to eat any more of it. The rice was also a disappointment—it was all clumped together. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this place. You’re better off going somewhere else; it couldn’t possibly be any worse."
