"I came in on a cold early morning in January afternoon. The menu had plenty of items to choose from. I selected the hibachi shrimp. After I placed my order, I patiently waited in the store's small waiting area. As the minutes passed, I became colder and colder. After ten minutes, I found myself pacing up and down the waiting area to stay warm. I soon when to the counter and asked the cashier how come there was no heat in the waiting area. The cashier said the plexiglass screen that was up to help protect from covid and robberies was blocking the heat from reaching the waiting area. Come on now! That makes no sense in the dead of winter.I suggest calling it in or dressing in layers. The food was good, but this cold take-out restaurant could have been a better experience."

I was surprised to see that I had been charged for my food and the restaurant had automatically added a $3.10 tip without my consent. I had intended to pick up my order to avoid tipping a driver, so this was disappointing. While $3 may not seem like much, it's the principle of the matter that bothers me. I didn't agree to pay that extra amount. In the future, I recommend checking your receipts carefully to avoid any unexpected charges. Overall, the food was good but be cautious when reviewing your payment details."

"Ordered food from their online menu. Payment options included PayPal. Paid 132.00 for the food for pickup. When we got there they were closed at 3pm. Just now I called to tell them what happened and I needed my money back. I was calm when explaining. The woman on the phone was hysterical and I could not understand what she was saying except that it was not her fault and was not going to give me my money back!!!!!!"

"Two Stars for the good rice. Unique rice... but good! No veggies besides onion in the rice and the strips of chicken in the rice is so good. Asked for extra spicy General's chicken and it was sweet and sour chicken with crushed peppers (never can taste). Yuk! If you have ever had good General's chicken, you won't like how bland and cheaply made this is. Otherwise, the toddlers loved the bland and THEY ate it all... the adults are still hungry."

"I have been to many Asian buffets in my lifetime, and this one is definitely the worst. There was not a single enjoyable flavor to be found. I tried numerous dishes in hopes of finding something good, but unfortunately, I was unsuccessful. This meal was terrible, and I am writing this review in the hopes of not getting sick later. I highly recommend avoiding this Chinese buffet for the sake of yourself and your loved ones."

"I went to this place a few times and enjoyed myself every time. The staff is friendly, fast and attentive. They are undoubtedly the best restaurant staff I had the pleasure of serving. They do not dwell while you eat, but always seem to be there when a plate has to be removed or a glass has to be refilled. They were never pushed over a tip (although I always left one). The food is amazing if I could add one thing, it would be a seasoned and fried shrimp, but you can't beat the selection yet! If you like Chinese food or are curious to try different options, you cannot beat this place. The prices are amazing and so is the food!"

"Due to Covid, we focus more on taking our food to go rather than dining in. The staff is consistently kind and friendly. I've never had a negative experience here; the place is always clean. It's the best Chinese restaurant in the area. The egg rolls and crab rangoon are exceptional, and the garlic chicken is always fantastic. If we're craving Chinese food, this is the only place in the tri-state area I'd choose."

"The food at this restaurant is tasty, which is why I gave it one star. However, my mother had a negative experience when trying to order for delivery. The lady on the phone would yell at her because she lived close to the store, even though my mother uses a walker and cannot navigate the steep steps into the store. Due to this mistreatment, my mother no longer orders from this restaurant. I would advise others to avoid it as well, considering how my mother was treated. Delivery service was rated as a 1, while the food received a 4. Atmosphere also received a 1. Price per person for dinner ranges from $10-$20."

"I lived in Martinsburg for 19 years, and Empire China has always been my favorite spot for Chinese food. Since moving to Washington state in 2015, I've found that the Chinese restaurants here can't compare to the ones on the East Coast. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the restaurant was still in business, so my son and I decided to have dinner there. My son tried the pho, which was a new addition to the menu since my last visit, and he loved it. The pan-fried dumplings were excellent, the egg rolls were crisp, and the ribs were cooked to perfection."

"Hunan Wok is next to the post office in the Woodcrest Shopping Center. Parking in the big parking lot seems abundant since there aren't very many stores in this shopping center, but then again I haven't been here in the daytime so your mileage may vary. The location is rather strategic since it is near an I-295 intersection. Service was very good. The lady at the counter took and confirmed the offer courteously and brought us everything we needed. I thought the food was pretty good too but that depends on what you order. I liked the Hunan Pork Combo for having a nice sauce that wasn't too salty and a plethora of ingredients. The fried rice was pretty good too and not the dreaded yellow rice. The General Tso's chicken, on the other hand, was a bit too sweet. Although there are a number of dining tables, I think this restaurant is better as a takeout joint. The most obvious deficiency is the lack of customer restrooms. I speculated that the restrooms might be behind the wooden barrier but we didn't feel like venturing into the kitchen area to use it."

"Went to visit a friend in Coral Springs recuperating after surgery and decide to take out Chinese which is around the corner from her house. China Star is strictly takeout and delivery.My wife and I like the combination dinners. Usually comes with egg roll, roast pork fried rice, and choice of soup, soup here not included so we ordered a quart of Wonton soup, good.I opted for the Shrimp with Garlic Sauce, somewhat spicy with broccoli, red and green peppers, mushrooms, and onions, just ok. My wife tried the Pepper Steak with Onions, also just ok."
