"My sister and I had our first visit to Cariera 's, a family owned restaurant, for lunch about a week ago. We grabbed the menus, sat at a booth, made our selections and then went up to very friendly Cashier/Waitress Valerie to prepay our meals and tips. I had the Fried Calamari, Shrimp Crab Ravioli ala Vodka, fruit infused red sangria and for dessert, Limoncello cake. Sis had the Lasagna. Everything was delicious (see pics)! The calamari was seasoned crispy on the outside but light and tender on the inside. The ravioli didn 't have as much crab as I would have liked but plenty of shrimp. The vodka sauce was creamy and cheesy. Even the garlic roll was fresh and warm. Everything was perfect and there was plenty leftovers to feed us a couple more days. The owner and Valerie and other servers checked on us periodically throughout our meal. The food, welcoming atmosphere and excellent customer service provided our first-time visit with a very happy, delightful experience! There are plenty of veggie and vegetarian options and a $10 'Little Bambinos ' menu. Cariera 's is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking except handicapped spaces are limited. We plan to return to try different things on the menu and would highly recommend for indoor and/or carry out meals with family, friends and visitors.Vegetarian options: They offer a side of veggies for $7.50 including broccoli, mushrooms, asparagus and spinach. You can also substitute veggies for pasta on entrees for $3.50.Kid-friendliness: Little Bambinos $10 menu.Parking: Strip mall parking. Only one handicapped parking space."

"Doorstep flyers DO work (at least on OUR family ....We received a flyer and eyed it for a few days, and then work kept me busy too busy to deal with dinner, so that Grinders flyer was screaming at us...I'm glad it did.I believe it was the owner Ahmad who answered the phone, he was courteous and read back my order to ensure he got everything correct. I ordered minestrone soup, garlic cheese bread, a BLT pizza, and chicken alfredo (all of that to take care of dinner and a couple of lunches busy workweek, ya know! . He told me it'd be ready in 20 min.I tested him, because we were starving... and arrived on the dot, 20 min later... everything was packaged up nicely (NICELY NOTHING leaked or oozed on the way home! , and Ahmad even ran out to my car because he wanted to be sure I didn't forget the pita bread that came with the soup. The minestrone was chock full of veggies and beans exactly right! The cheesy garlic bread was every bit the comfort you'd expect it to be and it comes with a red marinara sauce that STANDS ALONE it is WONDERFUL!, the BLT pizza has turkey bacon, but seriously, you'd never know it delivered a fantastic crunch along with the lettuce and tomatoes on top (He puts them on fresh, but let me tell you, the next day the lettuce crisps up in the air fryer to perfection! Am I weird? I guess I'm weird, haha . My chicken alfredo was fine, if a tad undersalted (easily rectified, don't change a thing on your end, Grinders , and the fettuccine was cooked just right. All in all, you can't go wrong with Northeasterners who own pizza shops in Vegas, haha... We don't miss NYC a BIT ;"

"After living in the area for over 6 years, I have finally eaten here for the first time a few months. We enjoyed our experience dine in. The food was definitely enjoyable between the pizza, pasta, and personal faves of the bruschetta and garlic knots. Our service for dinner on a weekend was pleasant also. Lots of families dine here and they even have crayons to entertain the kids.My 2nd and 3rd experience here was not as pleasant however both were for to go/pick up orders on weekday late afternoon/early evenings. Honestly, I hate to chalk it up to the inexperience and customer service learning curve of their younger employees... but that's what the trend is showing me. 1st time, I called in an order (with ample time for pick up at least an hour between my call and planned pick up time). My husband still had to wait an additional 20 minutes for our food to be ready. Something between the phone call and the order being relayed to the kitchen is lost in communication. The second time, I did an order through YELP and grubhub. Either their grub hub system sucks or something is not translating correctly. I put my order in at 3:30 ishPM for a 4:45PM pick up. The girl who received the order had to call me to verify my pick up time because it wasn't showing on their end... all was good and we got on the same page. I even showed up at 5:00PM to give a few extra minutes in case. Had my son in the car who was napping so I parked in front and expected to be able to run in and out in less than 5 minutes with my food. When I arrived, the girl at the front (not same girl who called me) said my food still wasn't ready after she checked the system and their shelf of food (despite my Yelp app saying it was ready at 4:45). Waited and watched other people come and go.. Saw a bag of food sitting on the shelf waiting to be picked up. After about 10 minutes I went to another girl who ended up being the girl who called me and she said my pizza was done (and sitting on top of the oven this whole time) but didn't realize I had ordered pasta and other stuff too. She went back to the kitchen to be told it wasn't prepared and I would have to wait another 15 minutes. Not the convenience I was hoping for. After some discussion with the kitchen staff, she realized that my food WAS the food that had been sitting on the shelf for over 40 minutes and the mistake was that the wrong order number was written on the bag. She had to open the bag of food to see that it was my food like do they not write names on it?? Anyhow, the food is good. They just need to get other aspects of their process and training into shape. Might just have to stick with dine in here when we have time to spare."

"This was my FIRST time here and I LOOOOOOVED IT! I highly recommend and I will definitely be coming back. My cousin and I were craving Italian and it just so happens that she remembered coming here when she was in the 7th grade (she was about 12/13) and we are 26 now. So that was 10+ years ago but she remembered Emmy’s spaghetti. When we arrived we received a warm welcome greeting. I expressed to our server and she asked if we had any questions about the menu and I was like no everything looks delicious. We ordered the Cheesy Garlic Bread, and Shrimp ceviche for our entree and OOOOOH MY CHEESY GARLIC LOL. EVERYTHING WAS SOOOO FRESH!! I have the smallest appetite and was determined to eat all my food. We both ordered the spaghetti and WOW I LOVED IT! Everything was delicious, from the appetizers, entree, down to the Passion Smash Drink I ordered. When the server came back I asked her name because I was to into my phone when she first introduced herself (I apologize for that) and it was Emmy! I told her I loved her restaurant and I thanked her for her business staying open all these years. I give this place a 10/10 everyone was friendly, food was delicious, and overall the place had a beautiful and vibrant vibe. I’m writing this review in the restaurant during closing and can say down to closing the food is exceptional. Thank you Emmy!!"
