"We try to stop at Edgar’s at Quail Lodge every time we are in Carmel and always enjoy our experience. The service during our last visit was exemplary, but our meals weren’t quite up to snuff. The sand dabs and burger were very average, and the French fries were over seasoned almost to the point of being inedible (this coming from a diner who loves extra seasoning). We’ll chalk this one up to an off night"

"This review is not accurate for quality as I never experienced the restaurant, but it is the only way to write about the experience. I made the reservation on 10/20 for 10/21. Seven o'clock was not available so I selected 7:15 and received a confirmation. We drove 25 minutes to the restaurant and the parking lot was pretty full. However, when we got to the front door there was a sign that the kitchen was closed. No other explanation. No reservation. OT consistently asks me for confirmation that I am going to be at my reservation, but I got nothing alerting me to the situation so I didn't waste my time or have the opportunity to make other plans"

"Went here today and ordered food. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and my husband got a Buffalo chicken wrap with sweet potato fries. Took around 35 mins for the food to come out. Once it did come out, we were only about to eat maybe half of it…As my husband was eating his sweet potato fries and dipping them into the syrup that was provided, he luckily looked before biting at one point, because THERE WAS A BUG on one of his sweet potato fries. "I dined here for lunch with my fiancé on April 29 2023 and our bill was $52.88. This was our first time here and were excited to experience some great BBQ. As we walked into the restaurant we were not sure if we should choose a seat or wait to be seated. We decided to sit at a booth and it was about 10-15 minutes before acknowledged by our server. We ordered our drinks and explained this was our first time here and we asked for recommendations. Our server seemed cold and didn't recommend anything but looked at us as we were stupid. I did get my drink about fifteen minutes later forgetting water for my fiancé. We ordered a steak and cheese egg roll appetizer, half pound brisket, a side of Mac and cheese and beans. The sides came in 2 oz equal to a dipping sauce cup. The beans were decent but the mac and cheese utterly disgusting. The small portion brisket was fatty, in fact one whole piece was all fat. Overall the experience, service and food are all sub par and very expensive for the amount of food received. We were never asked how our food was by our server. I will not recommend or will not be dining here again."
