"WOW! We walked up to Salmon River Brewery 2 hours before closing time and approached the hostess station and one of the hostesses asked how many and my wife said “Two please” then the other hostess without even looking at us said, ummmm we’re not taking any more on our wait list. It may take us to closing. I didn’t see anyone waiting and there were several empty seats inside and at the bar. I can’t rate the food because we didn’t have a chance to try it, but as a Hospitality Executive I would be very disappointed if any of my 30+ hostesses addressed one of our guests in the rude manner that we encountered. The hostesses seemed to be very involved in their own world and not really concerned about creating a welcoming environment at all. We walked across the street to Lago Chapala Mexican Restaurant and had a completely different experience with quick and friendly service, pleasant welcoming attitudes and speedy service followed by great food. Glad we ended our experience with Salmon River Brewing before it got any worse. I really don’t even feel like giving them a second Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"

"I just arrived from Denali on a coach, checked in, and made my way to the restaurant. We were warmly welcomed by our server, Irina, who greeted us with a big smile and offered great dinner recommendations. For appetizers, we had the Caesar salad and salmon chowder, both of which were delicious starters. For the main course, I ordered the halibut served on a bed of onions, which came with a generous portion of rice and vegetables. We finished our meal with a delectable apple pie drizzled with caramel sauce and a gluten-free rhubarb strawberry cheesecake that my wife absolutely loved. The cheesecake was made on site. If you have dietary restrictions, you'll be happy to know that there are about ten gluten-free options on the menu, making it suitable for any hungry traveler."

"I ordered the special of the day, a seafood gumbo, and it was incredible! It’s hands down the best gumbo I’ve ever tasted! If I could give it a rating beyond five stars, I would give it an eight! My son had the same dish and agrees completely. My wife opted for a chicken wrap and highly recommends it too."

"This is a new place in Napili, the BBQ pork was excellent with a nice smokey flavor, though called pulled pork it was actually bite size pieces. The chopped brisket is excellent and available as sliders, making for yummy appetizers. The service is good, the portions are more than ample and the sweet potato fries an excellent option. The blue cheese dressing was very watery so not a good option for dipping the fries into, the tarter sauce would be better. The BBQ sauce on the table had a good flavor with just enough bite to be able to enjoy it without having a moment of fire in your mouth. The fish n' chips was cooked in a light tempura style beer batter and was excellent, with fresh local fish of the day. You do need to ask before ordering since the fish varies, the night we were there it was Ono which is more of a steak consistency fish then a soft flaky fish as most people are used to. Reasonable corkage policy and on Tuesday nights all wines on the menu are 1/2 price which is a great deal, if you don't mind a limited selection of wines. The menu isn't big, they focus on beer more than wine. For beer lovers, this is a good place. Don't let the name mislead you, this is a good restaurant and one that is reasonably priced compared to others in the area and give you a lot more. Recommended without any question. Though the night we were there, they weren't that busy at 5:30, reservations might be recommended for later in the evening."

"This is the worst place I have ever been... DO NOT BUY THE GROUPON deal from here !!! I PROMISE, it is an awful place, Most of the bartenders are friends regulars and they let them drink free... This is not a sports bar, they are biased with what sports are available. We had a Terrible experience here. I see most of the good reviews are from like 3 or 4 years ago but this is new, 2024, August 15th. I do not recommend coming to this place. Hey Bar friends !!! There are so many other taverns and sports bars in the area, JJs, Starz, Star Lake Inn, Brickyard, those are food spots with way better food and drink prices, Save yourself the money, the time, and the trouble. Terrible customer service, they treat their customers horribly. Not Friendly to all races and extremely racially biased. The food is awful and meat is always undercooked. They weren't playing when they said a loaf of meat... No seasoning on anything and its never tested with a meat thermometer, It's just not good and unsafe. I don't recommend, neither do most of the folks who live in the vicinity or who I meet at neighboring restaurants/bars. Do yourself a favor and go down the street so you dont get sick. Trust me, its not a one time review. Its all the time. I gave this bar so many chances and nothing has changed over 5 years. Highly do NOT recommend this sad establishment and many of us are just waiting for them to close permanently. Health department has been contacted."

"Great choices of wine! We went here twice on our trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The southern style pimento cheese dip was my favorite. They had good bbq, Rueben, and ceasar salad. Prime rib was ok, probably would not get again, i didn't really like the strong smoked flavor, and I prefer fresh grated horseradish, I don't like creamy mashed potatoes at all, but it came with it. I am still giving 5 stars because that is just my preference and everything else was really good."

"My wife and I are returning customers. We love the food and atmosphere. Unfortunately, Leo a manager was rude and unprofessional to me and my wife on my birthday. The problem started when our food was over an hour late. When we inquired about why our food was late the waitress said they had a large party that had delayed our food coming out. Mind you, we’d received our appetizers approximately 30 45 minutes prior. Because we had another engagement to attend, we told the waitress to simply close our tab. We couldn’t wait I any longer for our meal. We’d set our reservations 2 and a half hour prior to the start of our event and almost 2 hours after arriving we still didn’t have our food. When I expressed to the other managers how rude Leo was to me, Leo walked up and joined the conversation. He started yelling obscenities at my wife and I. As I was leaving the restaurant, Leo followed my wife and I out the restaurant yelling things like, I’m Rude. You don’t have to eat her again. Don’t come back. This is not the type of service I expected to receive at this restaurant. My wife and I have been celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and Friday night date nights for over 6 years and never expected to be treated this way. Leo went as far as to stand in the middle of the driveway as we were leaving CONTINUING to yell obscenities. If this is the type of service I receive there, while other managers look on, I will not be patronizing that establishment. It appears this is not his first time behaving in this manner. This is unacceptable."

"Not really open until 10 always. Was super excited to try it after spending hours trying to find a place my friend was okay with. Just wanted a quick bite. I guess if they are slow they close as early as 9. Made me think of all the nights I had to stay open until the posted time because the restaurant owners I worked for didn 't want to put '11 or until close M-W ' as I suggested, because they didn 't want people to show up and see me cleaning behind locked doors. I don 't mind if it has to happen for financial reasons, just list the end time as 'until close '"

"The website makes this place look outstanding. However, we arrived at 6pm and there was only one couple in the restaurant. We decide to sit outside and ended up waiting 15 minutes for a waitress. Our friend finally went inside to ask for a waitress. The service was very slow, the food was average and the prices were too high. I ordered the lobster stuffed walleye and it was full of bones. When I asked the waitress if that was normal she got defensive and said she never heard of anyone having bones in that dish. I told her to look at the plate because I had about a dozen bones in that dish. Maybe we were there on an off night? I just know I was disappointed because it was nothing like the website."

"What a wonderful experience! I visited on Monday night, July 29, and they had a special featuring pot roast, potatoes, and roasted vegetables. The vegetables alone could have been a meal! Our server, Kiersten D., went above and beyond compared to previous visits. I would give the atmosphere four stars, as the music is often too loud for comfortable conversation; it tends to overpower rather than serve as background. However, this won’t stop us from returning!"
