"Normally this place is busy and packed. But I wasn’t so surprised by situation today. Called in an order. Came out to $140 so not a small order. Was told it will be ready on an hour. I said great since I was driving home from work. Get to Sushi 611. Order is ready. Great. I pay. The guy at the register gives me to bags of food. I made sure to ask if it was everything since it looked small for my order. He firmly reassured me that it was everything I had order. Being on the road for almost 2 hours I take his word and go home (he knows better. . I get home. My wife starts to unpack to my family can have late dinner (6:20pm half my order is missing. I called restaurant and they inform me that I was not given the 3rd bag and if I wanted the food. What would have happened if I said no would I have gotten a refund ??? I’m irritated already. Hopped back into my car and drove back to restaurant. Different cashier at the register. Told her that I was here for the rest of my food. Seemed to me that customers don’t really matter since she kind of was laughing that my order was messed up. Best part no one really said sorry for wasting your time. Thanks. Oh the original guy that gave me my food. Looks at me and just keeps chatting with other customer. But gave me a look like I was wasting his time. Got home. Still missing 1 appetizer…… will not refund said got store credit for next time I order. So out $10 Anyways tried the food. It’s bland. No flavor at all. The salmon bentos are dry and burnt. Will post picture. Unagi dons are mostly fat and eel skin with many little bones. Spicy tuna tempura roll didn’t have any flavor at all. Hopefully it was just a bad kitchen day. Since it was a good sushi place before."

"I visited this restaurant on a weekday for lunch with a group of five, and we were pleased to find plenty of seating without any wait. Our waitress was very attentive when it came to our drinks and orders. Although it was my first time there, the others in my group had been before. We ordered a diverse selection of dishes, and everything was delicious! My favorite was the salmon sushi—so fresh and with a wonderfully buttery texture. The prices were reasonable, and the food arrived in a timely manner. If you're looking for great sushi in SCV, this is an excellent choice! Overall, I give it 5 out of 5 stars!"

"This was my first time trying Asuka. Everything tasted extremely good and was cooked very well. Even with delivery time and the time it took for me to get to my lunch break, the food was still fresh. The quality and quantity were matched. It was way more than I thought it would be for the price.The best part was the care at packaging. I cannot stress enough how well it was packaged. I've never had any restaurant package my order this carefully or cleanly. And the bento box is way more containers than most of the things I order daily from other places Def can't wait to eat in at Asuka."

"I recently visited this restaurant for the first time, and I can confidently say that I will be returning. The staff were incredibly friendly and offered some great suggestions. Chuck, our bartender, was not only hilarious but also made some fantastic drinks. Nancy, our server, served our food in under 15 minutes. The seafood was perfectly seasoned, and the variety of sauces added a delightful touch. If you're in search of excellent service and high-quality food, this is definitely the spot for you."

"They don’t follow Covid rules (masks, gloves, hand washing, 6 ft distance, etc. . I watched a kitchen employee eating while making a salad, with no gloves. Food is decent at best. Tried to eat there for the second time (take-out second time as well and was turned down this time. Table of 6, spending over $100, what restaurant turns this down during Covid? Never heard of that and I’ve been a chef for 20 years. Guess the kitchen staff is sub par and they can’t do the numbers EI requests. Good luck. Others, read reviews before you eat here."

"It 's very cute and very quaint! The staff was polite, prompt, and on point. They have a few tables inside and a few tables outside. It has a very limited parking lot but that 's not their fault and being an island community ya gotta get in where you can fit in! There 's a back deck which does help with traffic flow instead of cause a traffic jam! Perfectly cooked and pressed shrimp poboy is what I ordered for my Independence Day lunch Same goes for the krinkle fries....I didn 't order a drink bc I don 't want to relapse from.my old coke habit but I 'm sure it 's ice cold and refreshing! They offer delivery service too! Not sure why my pictures came out looking like they 're drawn but it works for the light and friendly ambience of YuMs restaurant! Parking: It 's a little tight but on an island the most valuable commodity is ultimately space."
