"I hadn’t eaten at a Grandy’s in years and years! Just realized we have one in our neighborhood and I dragged us out to check it out. We ate there on a Tuesday evening around 8…so after the evening rush. It was very quiet, in fact, we were the only customers there. But, we were greeted in a friendly manner and treated with graciousness. We ordered a 3 piece chicken dinner and a country fried streak dinner. We waited a few minutes longer than I expected- but when we checked on our food, we realized they were cooking our food fresh for us. Which brings me to the food. Don’t get me wrong, this is a fast food place- with all that you would expect- basic dining room, no table service, etc. However, we really enjoyed the dinner rolls and I really liked the corn. (I know, that seems strange- but it was good. We enjoyed the fried chicken- fresh, crunchy crust, nice flavor. I was less enthralled with the chicken fried steak- the crust was yummy, flavors nice, but it was more like a hamburger on the inside. Our meals were $8-$10 each. We will definitely go back!"
