"Response to Chris F 's Dishonesty, Distortions, and Disrespect: Unfortunately Chris has resorting to spinning alternative facts to justify his unjustifiable behavior, outrageously claiming paper towels were left in his toilet, etc. My children and I used his bathroom twice, at the beginning of the visit and at the end. We acted with courtesy and respect, spent $75 on an overpriced lunch, and tipped generously. To be accosted on a public sidewalk by a cantankerous manager and accused of trashing his bathroom, then given no opportunity to respond is absolutely out of line. His consistently testy behavior during previous visits and the constant parade of changing staff well before covid suggest Chris. F. is not cut out for a profession that requires politeness, cordiality, and respect of other human beings. Parents Be Warned Took my two young children to Twyrl for an overpriced celebration lunch because the pleasant day tempted me to overlook a history of mediocre food and a consistently crusty manager. Was careful to be respectful of other patrons, so arrived and left early. Children were on great behavior and I left 18% tip. Ten minutes later, after we were leaving an adjoining establishment, Twryl owner Chris F. accosted me and my children in the middle of the sidewalk. Carrying a handful of paper towels and pieces of toilet paper, he said, I just want you to know that I found these on the bathroom floor. Before I could respond, he turned on his heels and left. He was insinuating that we had dirtied his bathroom. I followed him into the restaurant and had to ask other staff to find him as he had disappeared. When he finally showed I suggested that he was blaming us for something we did not do. He countered by saying that he had been watching who accessed the bathroom and he knew it was us. For the record, my children and I had been just as careful in the bathroom as we had been while dining to leave as little footprint as possible. It is possible that in the flurry that always accompanies young children, a paper towel had been left on the floor, but if it was, it was entirely unintentional. Regardless, I don 't understand how the owner of a casual pasta restaurant in the middle of one of the most family-friendly towns in the Boston area expects to evade doing a little extra cleanup after his youngest patrons. And how he justifies receiving $62 plus tip for a simple lunch and then has the temerity to treat a well-paying, well-tipping, well-behaving patron with such a level of shameless lowbred disrespect. Clearly Chris F. is in the wrong business, and parents of young children should avoid this place because collectively we have the right to be treated with dignity and respect."
