"We visited for the first time last Saturday, found the place when looking for a restaurant that has a salad bar as there are almost none around anymore. The restaurant has been around for a long time and is very retro but in great shape. Seemed well maintained and clean. Loved the old school salad bar, only complaint is the size of the plates. The bread plate size makes it difficult to eat without half of it falling off onto the table. My husband got the turkey dinner special and the turkey was moist and flavorful. Stuffing was sort of runny but had a good taste. Mashed potatoes were homemade and great, gravy and corn were decent. I had the bigger cut of prime rib with mashed potatoes and corn as well. I ordered it medium rare and it was medium to medium well instead. They gave me the end piece which is always the most cooked through. I did not send it back as that is a big loss for them as they can can't use it once it hits the table. It still was fairly tender and a pretty good taste thankfully, would've been much better rarer but still was fairly enjoyable. Came with Au jus and a good horseradish so that helped a lot. We split a piece of apple pie afterwards. They are really big pieces and pretty good pie, great value. Our whole bill before tip was only $45 including tax; we definitely want to try it again even if it is a 20 minute drive from home. Keep doing what you're doing!"
