"I recently dined at Kumo on Elm Street and while the food was decent, the service was lacking. When my dining companion and I requested to sit at the Hibachi table, we were initially accommodated. However, we were immediately pressured to place our order by a waiter who seemed impatient and rude. We were then informed that we had to move to a different table since only one of us wanted Hibachi, a detail that was not explained beforehand. The waiter continued to rush us throughout our meal, making the dining experience unpleasant. To make matters worse, we were surprised to find an 18% service charge added to our bill for just two people, in addition to taxes. This information should have been clearly communicated to us upfront. I was taken aback by the lack of transparency and felt as though management was trying to force customers to pay extra on top of gratuity. Overall, the experience left a lot to be desired and I would not recommend dining at this establishment given the hidden charges and subpar service. It seems that Kumo could benefit from better customer relations training to improve the overall dining experience for patrons."
