"I started working at Dairy Queen in my hometown of Hubbard, Texas, so I have a special love for the restaurant. Over the years, I have noticed a decline in the quality, service, and atmosphere of Dairy Queens in general. However, I continue to visit new ones in search of that original charm. Mt. Vernon's Dairy Queen did not disappoint! The local customers were friendly and the employees were equally welcoming. The walls adorned with football team photos reminded me of the Dairy Queen back home where my husband and I graduated 31 years ago. The restaurant was clean, both the restroom and dining area. The kitchen and ordering counter were well-staffed, resulting in minimal wait times. The food was served hot and promptly. It was a perfect experience and I will definitely be returning. The staff and other customers were also very kind to our grandchildren, making it a very kid-friendly environment."
