"I recently stopped in here on a night I didnt know what I wanted. Bad move as this place had a lot of interesting sounding items on the menu. I ended up wayyy over ordering! I started off with the boudin balls and gator bites. While both are good, they are really similar. Heads up, the gator bites are chopped up meat mixed with other stuff and pressed into a ball like a fritter. Since the boudin bites are made roughly the same way...it was hard to remember which was which. The waitress came out a while later and said they noticed they had some rib tips left. Since this was the dish that seems pretty popular here, I didn't want to pass up the chance to try that. Rib tips are not a common bbq menu item where I am from. I now know they are not my favorite. For those unfamiliar, what I got was a plate of all the cartilage end pieces of the ribs. It was also very fatty and full of connective tissue, not a lot of meat. If you are they type of person who likes chicken feet, you might appreciate rib tips...but not my thing. The rib tips came with 2 sides. I got the salad and the corn fritters. Corn fritters were tasty. All in all not bad. But unfortunately, at a BBQ joint, the best items were deep fried. The one waitress seemed very attentive, the other seemed lost. They both came to my table anddidn'tt seem aware that the other had brought parts of the order already. (I was 1 of 2 tables, so not sure how there was the confusion). Then a new guy wearing a dirty hoody and pants dropped off my rib tips. I was hoping, looking like he had been camping the past week, that he wasn't the one cooking food. Vegetarian options: Aside from the salad, fried okra and french fries, not a lot for the vegetarians Price per person: $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2 Recommended dishes: Boudin Balls"
