"Atmosphere: First off, let me say that I drove over an hour to show my date where, in my opinion, was the best little Italian restaurant and desserts. I used to live right by Papa Joes but had since moved and there was no doubt in my mind that it was going to be worth the trip. This was the first time I did not feel comfortable or welcome. It had a large part to do with the waitress. First, we are sat at a 2 person booth next to a table of 12 or more with very loud children and there's that 12 top and then right next to me in hands reach is what I guess is a hostess little counter thing. While there were booths in the other room empty and WE HAD A RESERVATION. The waitress was just absolutely unpleasant and looked inconvenienced by any question or comment. My date even asked if she was a homophobe that's how rudely and passive aggressive she was treating us. I told her I was embarrassed and that she probably was just overwhelmed by the large group. I always tip 20% no matter what because I know servers don't make enough and it could have just been a bad day but it absolutely killed me to to tip her $20 on a $100 check. Food: let me say that I get the SAME thing every single time I go, I get the same thing. The chicken francaise. I was reading the menu and was surprised to see that they now serve it over noodles. I asked the waitress to clarify how it's made now and told her that just a year, maybe a year and a half ago I had just had it and it was made differently. Instead of just asking me how I would like it made, she for whatever reason argued with me saying that they have been making it that way for 5 years or more. Like I felt like I had to show her my last yelp review. I shouldn't have to prove anything, she should just accommodate the way I would like it made and move on. Doesn't matter anyways because they brought it out the way they make it now over noodles despite my request. My date enjoyed her spinach cannelloni, that was literally the only saving grace of this visit. Well also the 3 desserts I got to go. I was so upset the whole ride home because I was hyping this place up so high and it was just... bad. My date felt like she was treated badly, but maybe she was just have a bad day. I just didn't want her to feel that way with how high I set her expectations. What a shame."

"I 'm a GrubHub delivery driver who picked up an order from here at about 7 PM on the evening of August 31. Now, listen. I worked in restaurants for years when I was younger, so I understand that 's the height of the dinner rush, and I understand orders don 't always come out on time. So that 's not what I 'm upset about. What I 'm upset about is the fact that I walked in there and stood there like an idiot for ten minutes and nobody said a word to me, and it was like I was invisible. I eventually had to pick out an employee and make eye contact with them for an uncomfortable amount of time just so they would finally acknowledge my existence, and I could tell them I was here to pick up a GrubHub order for whatever the customer 's name was. I don 't care how busy you are. All you have to do is say hello to the person, say how can I help you , and then after the person answers say sorry for the delay, someone will be right with you . That takes like ten seconds total, and it would 've made all the difference in the world. And then, it also only takes a short time to poke your head in the kitchen and ask what 's the ETA on the takeout order. See, what I guess a lot of restaurants don 't realize is that GrubHub drivers work on tight schedules. At any given time, I 've usually got multiple different orders in my possession at the same time, and that is especially true during the dinner rush. So like I said, it 's not a question of the order coming out late. I can deal with that. What I can 't deal with is being ignored or left in the dark. In order to figure out whether I should wait at the restaurant or if I should deliver one of my other orders and then come back, I need information from you. And if you 're treating me like the Invisible Man, then I 'm not getting that information, and you 're inconveniencing everyone including your own customer who I 'm trying to deliver to. Please do better in the future. Service: 1"

"I give a four stars because my fiance had a upset stomach and diarrhea for like 6 hours after eating here. Lol Sorry for TMI. He had a burger, so maybe stay away from those? I had the deep fried pickle nickels, they were good. I also got a salmon salad, with vinegar at dressing. I asked them to remove a couple items like onions, cucumbers etc and they did with no issues. It came out correct, and that never happens! The salmon was perfectly cooked, that says a lot for me to say that I promise. It was nice and juicy, it fell apart was just a touch of a fork, it had no bones or spine the parts in it like the last place I ate. My only complaint would be the balsamic dressing was very vinegary. I think maybe it was homemade? Either way it was not good, would have been better if I did Italian dressing, I don't know what there's taste like. Or maybe a honey mustard or something. Usually can't go wrong with balsamic but this was not good. So don't eat the hamburgers and don't get the balsamic dressing. Oh I also had the French onion soup. It was very good, it did have a lot of Italian seasonings in it, which I didn't realize was an ingredient in French onion soup. It's certainly isn't when I cook it, but I am Italian and I like a lot of flavor so it didn't bother me. Just know it has a little bit different taste than most French onions soups. But overall it was good. Also I had a side of fries. Don't shame me for how much food I ordered. All in all the entire bill was $40, so I would say the food is pretty cheap! I had an appetizer a salad and soup and he had a burger with fries. Can't beat $40 even if you get diarrhea all night! Okay bye."

"Man with a gun! Patrons over poured alcohol and belligerent! Yikes!!!First time customer and last!Went here with my husband and our 8 year old son. From the moment we walked in the hostess had a snob attitude because we didn’t have reservations. He still sat us down “in the back” as he put it.Once we were sat down at a table with 2 chairs, my husband had to grab a seat for himself from another table. We immediately noticed strange behavior from all patrons dining at the moment. One woman walking around stumbled catching her fall but spilling her wine all over herself and acting like nothing happened. She was joined by others that spoke so loudly you couldn’t hear your own conversation at the table (video recording attached)Another table of approximately 15 people was loaded with children screaming because they were being tickled repetitively, running around, and yelling. The parents didn’t care about the children’s poor behavior in a restaurant.Once dinner arrived, we were about 10 minutes in when we heard and saw two women yelling and then two men wrestling on the ground. At that point I wasn’t going to allow my son to be exposed to such belligerent behavior, got up, and told my family we were leaving. I alerted one of the employees of the fight.Once up and walking out, one of the men that was fighting unholstered a gun from his waistband. That is when my family and I as well as other children screaming and crying, “HE HAS A GUN!” had found a back door leading to an outside patio. There was a gate that let us out to the parking lot at which time I was calling 911.Our 8 year old son is now severely impacted by what he witnessed as he expresses how “scary” that frightening experience was for him. As former law enforcement, I had to explain to him how quick actions save lives and how in more ways than one the man with a gun was wrong. This establishment should also be held accountable for over serving these patrons as they were clearly stumbling and beyond loud!Never again!"
