"Panda House Takeout: A Feast for the Senses If you're craving fresh, flavorful Chinese cuisine, look no further than Panda House for your next takeout adventure. My recent order was a symphony of deliciousness, leaving me utterly satisfied and already planning my return visit. The star of the show was undoubtedly the General Tso's Chicken. Crispy, golden nuggets of perfection bathed in a sweet and tangy sauce with just the right amount of bite. Each piece burst with flavor, offering a delightful contrast between the crispy exterior and the tender, juicy chicken within. It was the kind of dish that had me reaching back for more long after my plate was clear. The Vegetable Lo Mein provided a welcome contrast, offering a satisfying blend of colorful vegetables cooked to crisp perfection. The noodles were perfectly al dente, holding onto the light sauce without becoming mushy. It was a delightful textural counterpoint to the richness of the General Tso's, and a healthy balance to boot. But the true hidden gem of the evening were the Fried Pork Dumplings. Each delicate dumpling held a juicy, savory pork filling, with a hint of ginger and scallion providing a delightful aromatic element. The thin, pan-fried wrapper offered a satisfyingly crisp contrast to the tender filling, making these little morsels an absolute joy to devour. Overall, Panda House's takeout is a winning proposition. Fresh, flavorful ingredients, perfectly cooked dishes, and generous portions all come together for an experience that will leave you with a smile on your face and a satisfied hunger. Whether you're a seasoned Chinese food aficionado or simply looking for a delicious and convenient meal, Panda House is definitely worth a try."

"This renowned restaurant opened its doors in 1909, following Japan’s unexpected victory over the Russian Empire, which led to a period of significant growth and transformation, positioning Japan as the wealthiest and most advanced nation in Asia. It was a time ripe with national pride as the burgeoning Japanese middle class began dining out frequently, leading to a surge of eateries, izakaya, food carts, and noodle shops cropping up on every street corner and in every alleyway. Thus, it’s no surprise that this Los Angeles outpost of the esteemed 1909 Tokyo establishment is regarded as one of the best and most authentic Unagi houses outside of Japan and Korea. That being said, one aspect that has come with its authenticity, aside from the high-quality food and thoughtful presentation, is the price. Gone are the days of enjoying a late-night Korean meal featuring Unagi Don for just sixteen dollars. At Toku Unagi and Sushi, the full Unagi set will cost between fifty and ninety-eight dollars per person. However, this set offers much more than what you’d find at my old Korean spot. It includes a 350-gram whole Unagi, imported from Japan, skillfully seasoned and grilled over high-quality Japanese charcoal, served atop premium rice. Additionally, it comes with a selection of Japanese pickles and a bowl of hot soup. For those looking to indulge further, you can choose the Extra Special Imported Unagi—think of it as the A5 Wagyu of freshwater eel—at a slightly higher price. There’s also the option to turn your special Unagi Don into Ohitsu, where you receive a side of delicate tea broth to pour over your rice. To make your dining experience even more memorable, the restaurant features a full sushi bar displaying a variety of exquisite fish in its cooling cabinet. For an authentically exquisite Japanese dining experience, be sure to check this place out. Just remember to approach it like Las Vegas—bring only as much money as you're comfortable spending; after all, your kids will need to go to college someday!"

"I haven't been to place in so long that I didn't even know they moved. It was a little hard to find, kind of hidden. Thanks to Google Maps, I found it, and there was parking. Inside, it looked small and had a nice simple layout. Not cluttered or anything, it was nice and organized. I had placed my order over the phone and was picking up. The lady who had taken my order was super nice and helpful. I was trying to figure out what the difference was between rice bowl and ordering the entree. She informed me that the only difference was that the rice bowl had more rice. While I was waiting, I liked that to my left, I could watch Itamae skillfully prepare and make the sushi. It made me wish I had ordered more sushi. I'll order more next time. I ordered: 1. Gyoza It was crunchy and fresh, I loved the sauce that went with it as well. It had a little kick. 2. California roll fresh and has a sweet taste to it 3. Beef and veggie bowl Hefty size, it had a lot of cabbage. I'm not a fan of cabbage, but it's one way to get me to eat veggies. 4. Beef bowl The meat was nice and tender. It did come with extra rice. I think next time I'll order extra meat or something. It wasn't enough meat and needed a little more sauce. I ended up giving my husband my beef to kind of balance it out some more. Overall, it was a great experience. I can't wait to come back soon. The prices were reasonably priced. Great service, and the 2 aunties that helped me with pick up was super nice."

"This review is difficult for me to write, as I have known the owners of this restaurant for nearly 20 years. I first visited the establishment when I moved to the area in 2002, but stopped going after some incidents with bad service around 2010. The company started hiring younger servers who didn't seem to understand customer service, which was disappointing. I continued to visit, adjusting my expectations, but eventually stopped going altogether due to the underwhelming service. When I returned in 2022, I decided to give Good Choice Sushi another chance and was pleasantly surprised by the good service and sushi. Unfortunately, my positive experience was short-lived. The most disappointing aspect was the lack of a proper manager, with the leadership apparently being left to the Sushi Church, whose members were rude and unprofessional. The final straw came when I visited on a sushi roll night with only 2 servers, resulting in long waits and unacceptably slow service. Despite being a regular patron who always tipped well, I was ignored by the server and sushi cook, leading me to finally give up on Good Choice Sushi. Many locals who share my experience ask ironically, "Good Choice? Is that it?" I am sorry to say that this restaurant is not a good choice. I have given them multiple chances to improve, but unfortunately, they have not lived up to expectations."
