"Sushi Bento was the best Japanese restaurant in Brownsville, and it remains one of my all-time favorites. It was a hidden gem that provided excellent food, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere. The authenticity of the cuisine was unmatched, consistently leaving diners satisfied. Those who were fortunate enough to discover Sushi Bento were truly privileged to experience its unique offerings. I will always cherish the memories of being warmly greeted there and enjoying the delicious meals that accompanied my first years at the University of Texas at the Rio Grande Valley. My personal favorites from the menu included the fried pork dumplings, Spicy Terry Bento, and Togarishi Maki. I was heartbroken to learn that it has now permanently closed. This restaurant will be greatly missed by many."
