"This was our first time to Nu Chinese Bistro. It's a little awkward to get to, but the parkade has 2 hours of free parking. Nu Chinese Bistro is located on the second floor. It looked like an upscale restaurant. It's not very big when compared to other Chinese restaurants.I really like their tea pot. Elizabeth, the restaurant manager introduced herself to us. I appreciate when management comes around and greets each table. This is a rarity. The staff is friendly. Our family of 4 had:The jelly fish was good and crunchy. It was a lot for 2 people, but is a good portion for 3-4 people. There were 8 wontons in Shanghai Wonton soup. The broth was flavourful and smooth, not overpowering, it had some spinach, and the wontons were OK too.We werent too keen on the vinegar dip for the pan-fried pork dumplings. The dumplings were pan fried, and were good. They have a really good variety of appetizers. Our main courses included: pan fried string bean and minced pork, shrimp fried rice, and honey garlic ribs. All 3 dishes were good. But the honey garlic ribs seemed to be thinly sliced pork chop. Oh my goodness! My first bite into the ribs was so good, I had to check if it was a piece of fat or not. It was so tender! I'd highly recommend this dish.We ended our meal with the deep fried stuffed red bean paste cake. There were 6 slices. it's a round dough, stuffed with red bean paste and fried. It was tasty too and beats having red bean soup."
