"It was Mothers Day. We called ahead to reserve a spot just in case. Got there. Still had a 8-10 minute wait with two kids. Ok fine, we were a tad early. Got seated 230 ish. Waitress came and took drink order. That arrived fairly quickly. We then ordered sushi. People sat around us and ordered. 30 minutes later another waitress brings 4 random rolls someone had left as if too say sorry for the wait? We thought that strange. We accepted them as we were starving. However they did not end up being anything we were too interested in. Too basic. So it sat uneaten at our table too. We got excited as the spicy tiger roll came out. We started in on that. Then nothing else came. 5 other rolls we specifically requested never came. A table busser was close. I asked him could he "check "on our order. He said sure. 40 mins later. Still nothing. Mind you 1 year old and three year old in tow. Ordered food for hungry three year old too. Luckily we had foresight to bring snacks. (Great lunch for him filled up on sweets. We waited over an hour.... nothing happened. Not even drink refills. Everyone around us received food. It was just poor service and looks like our waitress never bothered to relay our order. I went to Oyshi on Rainbow for years so I recommended them to my guests who were obviously dissatisfied. It is obviously not the same. Sure they gave us our drinks and 1 roll at no charge. Not being a Karen. We offered to pay and leave to get a meal someplace else. We cane to eat. Not wait. Ruined Mothers Day."

"Meh. I 've been walking by this place for years. The other day I was walking by at lunch time thinking about... oh, hey! Siam Bistro. I was eager to give it a try. Since it was just me, I ordered one dish, my Thai go to: krapow. Yay! Right? Eh.The place was busy with what looked like financial district/tourists looking for lunch. There are (maybe two tables for eat in, but their plates and such were identical to the carry out plastic containers and woefully tiny tiny inadequate utensils. Smallest fork I 've ever seen. Because I was on foot, and had a couple of bags with me, it was going to be difficult to carry the handle less paper bag my food was wrapped in. For carry out orders not much bigger than mine, they have brown bags with flat bottoms and handles. This is essential to keep the dish from tilting and spilling in transit. It was clear I had packages so she should have packed my carry out appropriately but she didn 't. So I asked. She pulled out a flimsy plastic thing. The whole way home I was juggling the thing because the food wouldn 't lay flat. Sometimes, in service, it 's the seemingly small things. I already don 't trust this place. The food? oh that. A lot can be forgiven for good food. (Not that you should get bad service ever.... The krapow was spicy a really good spice level. That was pleasing. But as I dipped in to eat it, I realized that about 75 80% of the dish was white rice. It 's like I paid $14 for a plastic tub of rice! haha. Oh well. I might go back if... you know, I wanted to hide from a spy balloon or if Biddy 's runs out of boneless chicken wings. No parking, of course, unless you 're a ninja."

"My mum and I came here for dinner with our Korean tour group. The tour agency, USA Tours, has a relationship with this restaurant and often brings its clients here. It is located on the second floor of the Waikiki Resort Hotel, which apparently is owned by Korean Airlines. Our tour guide had called them before our arrival so we were immediately seated at two 4-top tables (we were a group of 8 for dinner . Stew was already cooking on the burners on the table and servers soon brought out rice bowls and four side dishes. We had a vinegar cucumber/seaweed side dish, sliced radish, kimchi, and beansprouts. I get that a lot of older Korean people may not like to try new foods or just want to eat a nice Korean dinner after eating Western food all day, but I felt like this was a waste of a meal that could have been spent eating local Hawaiian fare. And if you are not Korean, there is definitely no reason to come here because the food isn 't even good. While I am biased against most Korean restaurants because my mum is such a good cook, Korean restaurants in LA are far better than this. (Granted, that shouldn 't count since LA also has the highest population of Koreans in a city after Seoul. I found the stew to be just mediocre and thought the same of the side dishes. Not much to say about the rice. I really just ate because (1 it 's free (included in our tour cost and (2 I was hungry and I had no other options. The service was just okay. Our servers were fast in the beginning to bring out everything, but then we never saw them again except for when someone at our table would yell for service (where are the table button thingies I 'm so used to seeing at Korean places?! . I can 't comment on the cost since our tour guide took care of it, but I don 't think whatever the price was would be worth it for such mediocre Korean food. This review isn 't completely fair since I didn 't even get to see a menu and they might have better food offerings, but I guess we 'll never know..."

"This was definitely more of a legit poke bowl than the one I had at Fusion Poke a while back. I've been asking around friends after the Fusion Poke experience whether the rice is supposed to be cold in a poke bowl. Everyone who knows poke told me NO. Rice is supposed to be warm, though not hot. Fresh Fin has it going right! Just the right amount of warmness to the rice to keep the other ingredients fresh and sassy. I had the spicy tuna today cuz I was in a hurry and didn't want to fool around trying to make my own bowl, though that is usually my way to do these guys. It was a good choice. All the veggies were nicely balanced, the tuna was fresh, and the spicy sauce was on point. Not quite the Hawaii experience, but almost there. The location is downtown, so expect to pay for parking. I had an appointment in the same building, so it worked out for me. The restaurant isn't a stand alone building, but a cafeteria style location inside the building. They have seats by the window and two small tables to the side, but it's more of a pick up place than a place I'd like to sit and dine. The server was nice. She was wearing gloves and masks, though she kept the same gloves on to do everything, from arranging the drinks in the display case, accepting payment (though it's a no cash establishment), and putting the lid and placing my food in the bag... So I'm not sure she quite understood the point of wearing the gloves. It's not to keep your hands clean! Overall, I'd go back if I'm in the building again, though I'll probably go to their other location if I want to dine in."
