"Drive down from Quincy, we decided to take a detour to Mike's Burgers because we wanted to apply a local restaurant over a chain and it looked like a great place to hang out and have a burger on our long trek home. But when we arrived, we discovered that they were closed. We had specifically searched Google for restaurants that were open. It seems that management forgets to update their holiday seasons on Google My Business. Big bummer. Everything was not lost, however, as the streets and another highway to the Yuba city – the plum capital of the world. There we found an in-and-out (good ole Trusty Gal she is and paid only $22 for two burgers, two pommes, two soft drinks and one shake. Such a bargain! We also discovered a fertile chicken followed by her 7 baby chicks. Spring jumped!! In the same parking lot we discovered a **** (can be the father of the baby and his girlfriend). On our way out of town we saw dozens of chickens, cocks and baby chicks who lived their best life. It turns out that Yuba City is one of two Californian cities offering a persistent fertile chicken population. And according to locals, the chickens are pretty smart and wait until the lights change before they cross the road. So if you go south and try to stop in Mike, but they are closed, take a trip to Yuba City to see the second largest fertile chicken population in California. (Last I give 4/5 stars, because I am sure they are great, but seven hours later I am still cheated that they neglect to update their vacation times. Nevertheless, we were able to explore an area that we might never have dared otherwise in a Robert Frostian way."

"I felt the bartender was very friendly and I loved my food and the drink choice suggested for my special $8 burger and beer. I was asked what side I'd like, with suggestions.. I asked if it could be a salad and hard cider instead of fries and beer. No problem. My suggestion is that customers remember to ask if that will be extra, because I budgeted for $8 and my item was more. I was confused when I paid my bill and felt like I was no longer treated with kindness because I asked. I had a hard night with hard news and a death in the family, so it could have been just me feeling a little too intensely. I am sensitive to noise and it was very loud.. and fragile clothing on ripped seats is not my fave.. But I love Bugsy's anyway! On the plus side there were nice additions in the bathroom that most places don't have. On Thursday karaoke night this week, in an emergency, a really nice Bugsy's guy employee was quick to get me ice as I attempted to help with a customers head injury. I feel that really helped reduce the swelling. I so appreciate that! It's not easy serving so many folks and I feel for anyone who serves people when it's so busy, loud and chaotic. Parking: I wasn't sure if parking by church with customers only sign applied to Bugsy's customers or the new (was church) owners guests. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3"
