"The menu at El Cabrito isn't extensive, but it covers all the essentials: tacos, burritos, plates, and a selection of daily specials. On the autumn weeknight my boyfriend and I visited, we noticed specials like Butternut Squash Tacos and Spicy Shrimp (Camarones). I assume these rotate seasonally. After looking over the menu, I opted for the tacos ($12), which come as a plate of four with a choice of two types. I selected chicken mole and carne asada. My boyfriend, a big fan of enchiladas, ordered the Chicken Mole Enchiladas ($16). Let me just say: HOLY MOLE! The chicken mole here is the best I've ever had—sweet, savory, and with just a hint of umami from the chocolate. It’s rich, creamy, and dark, exactly what mole should be. If you don't believe me, El Cabrito has a newspaper article taped to their window praising their mole. The carne asada tacos were good, but they didn’t quite compare to the chicken mole. Next time, I plan to go for all chicken mole tacos or perhaps just a full plate of chicken mole! The portion sizes are decent, though not huge. My boyfriend was still feeling a bit hungry after finishing his meal, but I was satisfied since I wasn't overly hungry to begin with. The service was acceptable; our food arrived within 10-15 minutes after ordering, and they have a self-serve water station, which I appreciated. No complaints there. Overall, I would rate El Cabrito 4 out of 5 for food, 4 out of 5 for service, and 4 out of 5 for atmosphere."
