Once a logging community, the architecture here is unique, showcasing its historic roots as a company town with elements reminiscent of Arts and Crafts style combined with Bavarian Alps details. Inside the Axe Rose, you'll find painted beams and a log cabin aesthetic. There’s also outdoor seating to enjoy during the often lovely weather. Honestly, McCloud is one of my best-kept secrets, though it might not be for everyone. If you're looking to disconnect and immerse yourself in genuine California experiences, consider visiting, enjoying some brews and delicious food, and spending time by the McCloud River."
