"We ordered our salads, which were mediocre and soggy at best. For our main courses, we chose the ribeye and the salmon. I specifically requested my ribeye to be cooked medium, with a pink center. When our meals arrived, the ribeye was barely more than rare, so I sent it back. My wife’s salmon was supposed to come with sautéed spinach, but it was simply raw spinach tossed onto the plate. The side dishes lacked any flavor and seemed hastily piled on.
We even had to ask for our bread. When my wife inquired about the spinach, the waitress responded that she had served that dish to other customers and theirs had looked the same, implying we must have been mistaken. Eventually, my wife asked to speak with a manager. She gave us a discount on our meal, explaining that the regular chef wasn't available and the substitute cook should have done better.
We loved visiting Taos, but we’ve certainly learned to avoid this restaurant in the future."
