"Ah, La Mer Seafood Market in Armonk, NY, where good times and seafood come together like old friends. This marked a long overdue first visit to this little gem to which I have learned it has been serving fresh seafood to the Upper Westchester scene for nearly half a century. But here's the kicker – fresh seafood never gets old, and neither does the charm of La Mer. Now, when you're friends with a guy like Chef Sean Wiener, you know you're in for something special. Sean's the maestro behind the scenes, and he's been around the culinary block. He's not just cookin' up dishes; he's weaving together coastal seafood classics, a touch of Jewish soul, and a pinch of those exotic Asian flavors he picked up on his travels. But what really makes La Mer stand out is the family vibe. When you walk through that door, you're not just a customer; you're part of their extended family. They'll greet you like an old buddy they haven't seen in ages and, trust me, they can't wait to serve you up some goodness. In a world where trends come and go faster than last night's dreams, La Mer is a timeless classic. It's where tradition shakes hands with innovation. So, if you find yourself anywhere near Armonk, you've got a date with La Mer Seafood Market. Get ready for a warm welcome, a belly full of heaven, and a reminder that fresh seafood is always in style – just like good friendships."

"Very disappointed that breakfast quality has gone down so much. We LOVED the original Giorgi's for breakfast. When they bought out and moved to the old O'Malley's location we were sad to see reviews stating things had changed so much, but decided to give them a try to see for ourselves. Unfortunately, we also ended up experiencing the negative changes. To start with, the building was very warm. They had overhead fans on, but no air conditioning. By the end of the meal, sweat was dripping off us. Not a comfortable experience. Maybe our server was new and only doing her best. She was very nice and friendly, but a terrible server. Had to waive her down to request coffee refills 3 times. When ordering the coffee I requested creamer, which wasn't brought and had to be requested again. One meal ordered ham for the meat portion, but ended up with bacon. Not certain whether that was due to server or kitchen mistake. The other meal was to include toast, which was specified at time of order, but wasn't brought with the meal. When asked if the toast was on the way, the server was very confused and said she'd need to check to verify toast was included with that meal, even though she had taken the order herself, asked what type was wanted and (presumably) written it down. Some time later had to inquire about the toast again before it was finally served...cold. My entire meal was barley warm, at best. Whether that was kitchen staff or server, can't say for sure, but I do prefer my meal served hot. Definite kitchen responsibility pancake was burned on the bottom. On the positive side, the chicken fried steak and hashbrowns were cooked to perfection and very tasty, even though cool. The omelette (although with the wrong meat) was also nicely done and enjoyable. What happened to the original Giorgi's kitchen and serving staff? Did they all leave? So sad so much has changed and the quality and service disappeared. For now, they've lost us as patrons. If we hear in the future things have improved, we'll give them another try, but for now, bye bye Giorgi's, you'll be missed.
