"We kicked off our meal with the bread, and I can't emphasize enough how amazing it was! It had a subtle hint of dill and was soft and fresh, having been baked that day. It paired beautifully with garlic butter. For our first round of drinks, I opted for the watermelon cocktail, which was absolutely refreshing given the week's scorching temperatures exceeding 100 degrees!
Next, we tried the beef tartare. It was tasty, though I felt it could use a bit more capers, pickled onions, or gherkins to enhance the saltiness. Still, it was fantastic and practically melted in my mouth. Then came the carrots, which were a pleasant surprise. They were phenomenal, possibly my favorite dish of the evening.
By this time, I was beginning to feel full, but the pasta soon arrived. The noodles were perfectly cooked al dente and complemented the red sauce nicely. I’m curious about how the pasta would taste with a bit more sauce, along with some fresh tomatoes and basil. We even used the leftover sauce from the carrots to enjoy with the rest of the pasta, which was definitely a good move.
Next was the cauliflower, which was quite surprising as it resembled a pork chop more than a vegetable! Unfortunately, I was too full to indulge in dessert this time, but I plan to come back to try the olive oil cake, which I've heard is fantastic.
A big thanks to my friend, the Queen of Yum, who introduced me to this place on my first visit. I’m excited to return and explore more of what Nobies has to offer!"
