"When we arrived, the temperature inside was uncomfortably hot. There were several young children running around the restaurant, screaming and darting in front of the waitstaff, which continued throughout our meal. If there had been someone in charge, they surely would have addressed this and reminded parents that allowing their children to roam unsupervised poses a safety risk not just for their kids, but for the staff and other guests as well. At one point, I even saw a woman with her preschool-aged child sitting on the table—hardly a sanitary situation.
The final straw was when someone brought in their pet dog. This was clearly not a service dog, as it barked constantly throughout our visit. Any other restaurant would have enforced a no-pet policy and asked the owners to remove it after it became disruptive.
As for the food, it ranged from mediocre to poor. Someone at our table ordered fajitas and found them to be awful; I tasted them and had to agree. The protein was overcooked to the point of being inedible, and the dish lacked any sort of seasoning. The tortillas were rubbery and practically inedible. The homemade chips served on the table were decent, but the burritos were mostly filled with vegetables and very little protein.
The cocktails were bland, and when we had a couple of questions about our meals, the staff's response was simply, "Okay." No manager came to address our concerns or resolve the issues we experienced. It's disappointing because this could be a great neighborhood spot that attracts local residents, as it's conveniently located near many homes. Unfortunately, this is a place I will quickly pass by in the future."
