"When I approached the counter to place my order, an older Caucasian woman was at the register. I mention this because it appears the staff rotates, and I want to be specific about my experience. While ordering, I pointed out that the menus were different. Unfortunately, she dismissed my concern, insisting they were the same. I didn't think much of it but simply wanted to be helpful. Despite this, she efficiently took my order, which included a coffee. After paying and tipping in advance since they only accepted card payments, she handed me a coffee mug and informed me that the server would bring water to our table. I took a seat and waited for about fifteen minutes, staring at my empty mug, eagerly anticipating my coffee. Thankfully, I noticed another diner taking their mug toward a coffee station, which made me realize that the coffee was self-serve—a detail the cashier didn't mention. After another five minutes of waiting, someone finally came by with a bottle of water and plastic cups. We waited over twenty minutes—almost half an hour—for our food, which included two plates of pancakes and an omelette. The portion sizes are enormous. You can get a single pancake for $4.25 or a stack for $11.00. I advise against ordering the stack unless you haven't eaten in a week, as each pancake is approximately 10 inches in diameter and nearly half an inch thick. One plate came with two pancakes; the top one was overcooked on both sides and as tough as shoe leather. However, there didn’t seem to be any complaints about the chocolate chip pancake stack ordered by my friend. I chose a spinach, tomato, and feta omelette, served with sourdough toast and hash browns. While the toast and hash browns were decent, the omelette was slightly overcooked and had a sour taste due to the feta, which was placed on top rather than mixed in. The restaurant also offers an array of bakery items that looked delicious, although I didn't try any, so I can't speak to their quality. Overall, the food wasn't terrible, and I would consider returning if no other options were available. Unfortunately, the initial experience with the cashier left a bad taste, similar to the omelette. When I finally approached the coffee station for my first cup, a server there was very helpful, pointing out the different carafes available. On a positive note, the restaurant is clean, and the plates and silverware were well-kept."
