"As soon as you walk in you are greeted by the staff who explains how their foods are locally sourced and use organic ingredients. I was a little skeptical at first but they explained the concept to me.After you place your order,they have a small area where they sell some of their parent company Manna Organics bread,nut butters,kale chips and snacks. They also sell a variety of non alcoholic drinks and kombucha.I ordered the Chicago Style hotdog which came with seasoned fries. They were very busy with walk-ins and carry out so the wait was over 25 minutes.The hot dog came withtomatoes,onions,relish,mustard and dill pickle and sprinkled with celery salt . The only thing missing were sport peppers and a steamed bun. The fries were very good and not oily but salty and I didn't taste and seasoning. Expensive tho at 13.99.Many people were ordering the cauliflower wings so I guess I will have to go back.Located in a busy strip mall..definitely worth a visit to the first plant based restaurant in the Western Burbs."

"Classic feel and taste. I like this place, but the prices are just a bit too high. That being said, food was made well, tasted great, and they gave fair portions. I enjoyed the entire experience. The customer service was exceptional, and everyone was very attentive and pleasant. I understand why prices are high, and why this particular location might justify them. I would recommend this place for its food and service, just be aware of the cost. I would give a 4.5 out of 5 if google allowed it."

"12 of us showed up without a reservation. We were seated within a few minutes and were well looked after. I opted for fish tacos which were excellent. All the food came out together, which was quite a task, I imagine. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We ordered a number of desserts to share. All of them were excellent. My only complaint was that they wouldn't split the bill more than two ways. We managed the math, but would have been much more convenient if they would have let us split by family. I would recommend The Tavern to anyone looking for a nice meal in a pleasant venue."

"They serve you quickly, I asked for a steak because on Thursdays there is a special steak with vegetables and fries and I didn't like it, they gave me a vegetable salad that looked like it was made with the last of the lettuce, it had mushrooms, cucumber and tomato but it's the ugliest and bad-tasting salad I've ever eaten, I was expecting asparagus or broccoli because that's how they put it in the photo of the special, I asked for the steak medium well and they brought it super raw and PS I asked them to cook it more, but as if they only put it to heat up on the grill because inside it was exactly the same and tasteless. "My husband and I stopped by after visiting Devils Tower. The Buffalo burgers were delicious and the ice cream was fantastic. After realizing I had lost my credit card, I called the restaurant and Riley went above and beyond to help me search the picnic table area and driveway. Her kindness was truly appreciated. Thank you to Riley and her colleagues for their assistance. Overall, we had a great lunch experience with a price range of $20-30 per person. The food was rated 4 out of 5, service was 5 out of 5, and the atmosphere was 5 out of 5. We highly recommend trying the Buffalo Burger."
