"we should have known as the place was almost empty on a Friday night . We asked to see a menu and the waitress advised us that none of the specials were available and our selection was basically burgers and a few apps . We ordered our food and had a few beers . After 45 minutes we literally had to go to the kitchen and retrieve the waitress. She stated that our food was not ready and was unsure if or when our meal would be ready . After an hour my wife 's burger arrived and 15 minutes later my half frozen chicken sandwich arrived . I told the waitress that I couldn 't eat it and she proceeded to get me a to go box . she stated this was her first night serving and the kitchen staff just started a few days ago . My question is why wasn 't a manager on duty and why are the owners letting this happen . It 's sad to see an established restaurant bar coming to an end ."

"We must have been living under a rock, because how have we lived in Wilmington this long and not known this gem was right around the corner from us?! Awesome awesome AWESOME. Everyone was super friendly, great vibe from the moment we walked in. Our waitress Lindsey was exactly who you hope waits on you at any restaurant. Food came fast, hot, and absolutely perfect. The owner Drea stopped by our table to make sure everything was good and say thanks for coming. This was exactly the experience you hope for when you go out. Best way to start our anniversary day we could have hoped for. If you have not been to Cast Iron Kitchen, GOOOO! You’ll find your new favorite brunch spot, like we did!"
