"I have been to this location a handful of times. Let?s just say first impressions are lasting once I originally supplied a review under the name big boys diner I believe I have to find it so I can attribute it to the proper name. This morning I went in and was not greeted by the same stone faced woman I encountered sitting at the bar the first time I went here. on a previous visit she was preoccupied with her cell phone and somehow she thought that I was supposed to know that she worked there ? Unlike the first time she wasn?t preoccupied with her cell phone. However like the first time she just looked at me as though I?m supposed to know that she was ready to take my order.????? suggestion: say ?good morning ? or ? how may I help you?? Maybe it?s me afterall I was raised with manners but I would think an establishment wants repeat customers. I will not be a repeat customer going forward. Then the lone waitress whom I have tipped generously in the past not today and I never not tip but today I set a precedent . I asked her if I could pay my bill to save time and her response to me was ?I don?t know what you had.?? suggestion: ? what did you order?? or ?let Me grab your check I?ll be right back.?????? I service in this place reminds me of something that you would see on TV when a prison cafeteria is depicted. Waitress did tell me to ?have a nice day.?? My day will be great and my money will be spent elsewhere going forward!? Climate definitely starts at the top. It is evident to me that the employment relationship is extremely friendly. Please sprinkle a dash of professionalism and a pinch of old fashioned greetings such as ?hello? or ?hi? or just ?smirk.?????? One word, one gesture at a time- baby steps. I will find my previous review and cut/paste it here. Stay tuned.????? A daily diner"

"However, the standout aspect of our visit was the service. I can’t remember the last time I was so impressed by a team of servers. I made sure to write down their names. Christine greeted us promptly and had our drink orders out within just a couple of minutes. Shortly after, Ash took our food orders. And I’ll get to Santiago in a moment. Our meals arrived in a very reasonable timeframe, especially considering everything was freshly made. Christine ensured that our coffee cups were never less than half full. Ash checked on us multiple times and fulfilled our requests instantly. When my wife asked for extra sugar for her coffee, Ash turned to Santiago, who was at the counter, and said "sugar." Santiago had the sugar at our table almost before my wife finished her request. He was like a whirlwind, clearing plates quietly and courteously as customers finished. Several times, when I finished with a plate and looked for a spot to set it down, Santiago appeared out of nowhere to ask if he could take it away. At one point, when a customer dropped a fork, Santiago dashed from the kitchen to pick it up before the customer could. He truly is amazing! Despite their impressive speed and efficiency, the three servers didn’t make us feel rushed at all. In fact, it felt like they were ensuring we had everything we needed while keeping the area clutter-free, allowing us to sit back and enjoy our meal. All in all, it was a remarkable and enjoyable dining experience. We will definitely be returning!"

"Our experience at Bramble was mediocre at best. The place seems to really be struggling if it 's short staffed and having to increase prices. My husband I went in mid October '22 for Sunday brunch. He had the breakfast tacos with a side of biscuits and gravy. I had the breakfast poutine. We both agreed the gravy was really watery and bland, which worked in the poutine but not on his biscuits and gravy. He said he also couldn 't tell if he even had a biscuit because it seemed be strategically swimming in gravy. His breakfast tacos were basic, with only chorizo and eggs. The single corn tortillas fell apart when he picked them up. My poutine was OK. The menu said it came with hand cut fries (which is why I ordered it! but they were definitely taken out of a freezer bag. It was nice to have chunks of chicken rather than a full piece. But the whole dish was a bit salty. The check-in situation was odd. We were told we had 20 minutes to kill, so we planned to go on a walk in the area. Then we had to sprint back because we were seated in about 8 minutes. Another couple was given the same inaccurate time. At least we benefited from the wrong time rather it being a much longer wait. The table service was alright and honestly what we 've come to expect in the post pandemic world. But the killer is at the end when the total goes up 9%. There are lovely signs that say they 're not raising prices, rather just tacking on that amount. It 's still an uptick and I didn 't tip as well because my total was higher. We won 't be back."
