"I have two older sons who are quite popular on their campus, and as we dropped one of them off for the semester at Vanderbilt University, we decided to try out a nearby restaurant. We arrived at 5:30 PM and were greeted by a line stretching out the door, which is always a good sign of a popular eatery.
The menu featured an extensive selection of Thai dishes with plenty of protein options to choose from. I opted for the basil fried rice with chicken and a spring roll. My son had warned me that the spice levels can be quite intense, so I played it safe and chose level two on the spice scale. It left my mouth tingling, but it was manageable. I also ordered a mango smoothie, which was refreshing.
Given how crowded it was, we decided to take our food back to the hotel to enjoy. The basil fried rice was delicious, and the seasoning was perfectly balanced. I think this will become a regular stop for us during future drop-offs and pick-ups at Vanderbilt. I know my son will be back every few weeks!"
