"What started as a promising 5-star experience quickly dropped to a 1-star after just one meal. My son ordered chicken and waffles, claiming this dish was the true test of a restaurant in the South, especially since it was his first visit. Unfortunately, he was right. Priced at $14.50 and placed on the menu near the 12 oz ribeye, we expected something better. Instead, the waffles tasted like they were straight out of a toaster. It reminded me of the ones I made myself before school—Leggo my Eggo! Honestly, I've had better waffles at every hotel I've stayed at in the last decade. I expressed my disappointment to the staff, stating that it was quite embarrassing. They explained that the quality had suffered due to cutbacks and time constraints, although they still prepared the waffles. Speaking from my extensive hotel experience, making a waffle takes roughly 2.5 minutes and even has a timer to signal when it's done, giving you time to gather the rest of your meal. I can't recommend the chicken and waffles at this restaurant, and because of my concerns about potential shortcuts in other dishes, I can no longer recommend the restaurant overall."
