All name, food didn 't back it up!. First of all please understand that at no point would I call this a bad restaurant, the food is fancy enough, showy enough, and what I do believe they excel in the service) is good enough. but kept on feeling cheated almost, as in if I was experiencing a restaurant that got to the top, and just gave up. I would even doubt that the head chef was at the helm that night, there was so many letdowns... the biggest being the food sadly) it was just salt topped with more salt...even the bread and the ice cream were sprinkled with the stuff!.. no balance of sweet, acid, of anything else to give you a break from the salt! At the end for $700+ I was expecting an experience what I got was a tired old NY restaurant with great service, but with food that didn 't keep up... for a dinner for two... this was not close to worth it. $50 a plate I would be closer... I would say Alinea in Chicago is closer to what you would expect the Number one restaurant in the world to be..."
