"I found the plain bagel I had here to be excessively doughy. I'm not a professional baker, but I suspect that they didn't let the dough proof long enough. My spouse tried a sesame bagel sandwich, and while that bagel was slightly less doughy than mine, both were still too hard, in my opinion as a semi-expert bagel reviewer. I much prefer the bagels at Alfa Bagels in Randolph (though they might use a bit too much sugar for some) and Mountain Lakes Bagel and Deli (even if the staff there often seem a bit out of it). We don't visit this place often because of an incident involving a young woman who worked here a few years ago. Overall, I would rate these bagels at 2.5 stars on my bagel scale, but I'll round it up to a three since the baker wished us a nice day as we left."
