"This quaint little restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, lovely decor, and a great location, plus our server, Lina, was exceptionally sweet! We enjoyed the mac and cheese and potato salad, as well as the cornbread; they were all good, though nothing to write home about. However, the chicken didn’t taste fresh, and while the flounder was well-seasoned, it had a distinctly old and fishy flavor. We ended up hardly eating anything and had to go elsewhere, where we were willing to spend more for better quality food. It seems like they need to improve their ingredient ordering practices to ensure freshness. Sometimes you might get a dish that doesn't suit your taste, and you’re willing to give it another try, but when the quality of the ingredients is in question, it overshadows everything else—unless, of course, it’s fried, which can mask the age of the food. Unfortunately, I won't be returning, which is disappointing because I was really looking forward to some delicious Southern cuisine."
