"This restaurant is quite challenging to review. When they get it right, it can be unbeatable, but unfortunately, that’s rare. We visit every weekend since it’s conveniently close to home, hoping that this will be the time when the bagel truly impresses us. However, 9 times out of 10, my bagel is burnt to a point where it shouldn’t even be served—not just a little charred, but completely blackened, including the toppings, even when I order it lightly toasted. The cream cheese often has an odd, gritty texture. Prices are also inconsistent; while the menu lists them, there’s a sign indicating those prices may not be accurate. Perhaps the biggest issue is the employees’ attitudes. They are often the most dissatisfied and unfriendly staff I’ve encountered, making you feel like a burden for simply being there. That said, when they actually make a good bagel, it’s truly the best you’ll ever have. I really wish they could improve their consistency, as this place has the potential to be the best bagel shop in North Jersey."
