"Tastiest Mediterranean rotisserie chicken I've come across. Even when it's dry (which it often can be it's good. The service is great and everyone hustles their butt off to get you fed. The toum (garlic sauce is killer and comes with every half chicken order along with a dab of hummus, salad, rice, pita, pickled turnips and a charred chili pepper. My only wish would be for them to give at least 50% more hummus since the serving size can be quite miserly, but it doesn't make me love them less. The restaurant more than doubled in size post-pandemic, but it still has that friendly neighborhood vibe. You can see longtime locals stop by for their chicken fix throughout the day. For about $15 you have yourself one hell of meal in the heart of downtown. Zankou may be juicier, but their flavor can't compete with Sultan. (Side note: they don't hound you for a tip either and you don't have that awkward feeling of having to deny them one either--I love that. Prices are steep everywhere. This place is for the people."
