"So, I made the trek back downstairs to order from the lunch menu. Yet again, I found myself waiting to be seated in a restaurant without a hostess. After about 15 minutes, a waiter finally told me I could sit at a table along the wall. I finally settled in, and my waiter brought me some sweet tea, but it took a long time for him to take my order. During this wait, he did bring some complimentary bread and melted butter, which was quite good.
At one point, I overheard him explaining to some customers that they were short-staffed—they had no dishwasher or hostess available. Eventually, my order arrived: spaghetti with two meatballs in marinara sauce. Unfortunately, they skimped on the sauce, making the dish a bit dry, but I ate it anyway despite the smaller portion size.
In hindsight, I wished I had opted for Olive Garden in Tupelo earlier in the day, but I wanted to visit Oxford Square since it had been years—since the mid-90s, in fact. Overall, I don't think I'll be returning to this restaurant. My time spent there felt too long and frustrating."
