"Don?t let the décor fool you, this place is authentic. The decor is not traditional New Orleans but what folks in Destrehan, Mandeville, etc think of when they hear New Orleans. Place is super clean and neat which if you know NOLA usually means it won?t be any good but this place is the real deal. The blackened redfish was spectacular. It was nice to taste a dish in the Midwest where blackened doesn?t mean burnt and dry. The only reason I didn?t do 5 stars is the fried pickles were somehow thick and battery despite being thinly cut. Can?t speak for the other apps but the portion size and quality from the fried pickles didn?t really match the cost. Redfish, shrimp poboy, and étouffée are all a must try."
