"I hate to say it, but Panera has gone downhill. It used to be a wonderful place for delicious fresh sandwiches, soups, salads and quiet conversation. If you don't like Poultry, there are limited choices now. They removed their delicious Asiago Beef sandwich. They added pizza joint stuff and now instead of the wonderful smell of bread and fresh cut veggies that greeted you, it is replaced with run of the mill pizza joint smell. I wish places that had a wonderful menu would trust it for what it is. and leave it alone."

"Great place to stop for lunch. Did the pick two and got the Cream of chicken wild rice soup along with half a Turkey sandwich. Everything else was great! As a mom to a picky eater, my son loved his grilled cheese sandwich and yogurt! My grandmaloved the fresh hot coffee. My only complaint is the employee that took our order had a annoyed attitude towards us. Alsodidn?t realize the sandwich came with onion till we got our order but no biggie."

"Panera offers life changing experiences. One time I ordered an apple salad and there was NO apples. Then that got me thinking an apple salad with no apples how can this be? But then I realized Panera was trying to teach me that everything is not what it seems and you always have to expect the unexpected. And then I ordered a four cheese grilled cheese but I knew there was another hidden message. Everyone usually has a one cheese grilled cheese so Panera is trying to tell me they offer more than quadruple the quantity of food than regular places."

"I was pleasantly surprised by my visit to Panera. I didn't realize they offered breakfast items, as I usually go to Starbucks for my morning fix. However, today Starbucks was sold out of my usual orders so I decided to give Panera a try. I was delighted to discover they have a breakfast menu. I ordered a chocolate croissant, which was delicious, and a Madagascar vanilla cream cold brew with almond milk and caramel syrup added. The coffee was excellent, especially considering I am very particular about my iced coffees. I give 4 stars because I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich on Ciabatta, and while the bacon, eggs, and bread were great, the cheese was chewy and didn't taste good. I ended up taking it off and the sandwich tasted much better. I will remember to order my sandwiches without cheese in the future. Overall, Panera offers a great breakfast selection and fantastic coffee. The service was also excellent. I will definitely be returning to try more items. If you're in the market for a new breakfast spot, I highly recommend giving Panera a try."

"I can't understand how a corporate meeting takes place in the dining area while customers are trying to enjoy their meals or get some work done. A poor woman asked for some flexibility as she was finishing her studies and trying to improve herself, but it seems this organization doesn't prioritize professional development. The food isn’t great, and the coffee is only just passable. The highlights of the menu are the soup, salad, quiche, and smoothies. Additionally, there are only a limited number of seats with electrical outlets, most of which are at the bar stools in the middle of the restaurant."

"I went in loving the food and walked out hating this fricking place and now I can 't even think of going back without getting even more frustrated. I went in for one bread and one muffin, and it took just a bit over 20 minutes for them to let me know that they didn 't have the bread, and to just get me my single muffin and then wait for the manager for the refund that by that point I was ready to just take the loss. I do not mind that they were out of my bread and I wouldn 't have cared if I didn 't think anything could have been done, but when I can see how every fricking employee is competing for slowest zombie walk while I 'm waiting forever for a single muffin that is when I get super upset. I have bad joint pain at night that leaves me slow hobbling around my house, and I could have beat them in a marathon compared to their speeds. I love their food, but the just terrible slow service for something so simple they just have to grab from the case is what is the issue. This was just terrible on the employees parts and that is when I get angry enough for a bad review cause I know how hard it is to be in the service industry. Am not going back for at least a long time, God dang so much time I 'll never get back just sitting on that wall sofa staring at their slow walking and looking at their order tablet that mocked me by letting me know that they were 'prepping ' my order. Wonderful food, great lobby and inside, slowest employees ever."

"stood for rapid pick-up counter for 35 minutes after ordering, as they ignored my order of 4 simple sandwiches. when 8 later commanded came and went, my name was still on order. Gently asked if it soon appeared, she just pointed to the name board and said it was still up. (you, I know! finally got my order, returned to my waiting family and got the autobahn, only to find sandwiches were not made to order and no pickles included. it was a busy time, but there are no wise 8 who came after me (many of them assembled and cooked and my was 2 hot colds 2 hot, the 2 hot were 2 pieces cheese and 2 pieces bread, 2 simple grilled cheese should have left before me while I stood there. at least the two on the switch should have asked me who I was after 15-20 minutes and looked into them. 40 minutes waiting for 4 sandwiches, big disappointment."

"Orders are always wrong..I usually have an issue with ordering from this café, something is always missing or wrong but it's close by and I love Panera..But today I ordered for myself and 3 other coworkers in West Haven. Not sure why it picked this café, I was assuming the others did not deliver. Anyhow, upon receiving the order (delivered by Door Dash which was left in the cold all the way across the parking lot away from my building after leaving instructions from the building not receiving any call from the driver), I opened the bag and realized that a bread bowl was missing for my coworkers order. Upset, I called and they refunded me for that order. When it was time for my lunch, I went into the bag again and noticed that my soup was not there !!! That is so crazy to me. For all our orders, it was $60! For 2/4 of the orders to be incorrect is a horrible standard. The whole order slip was checked off, but clearly nobody ever really checked it ..I wanted my whole order refunded, seeing as it was not only for me but my coworkers, I now had NO lunch to eat during my 8 hour shift, and I spent $60 for wrong, cold food.For what is was worth, the lady manager I spoke to over the phone was very nice and understanding of my situation. She explained that the store was short staffed and extremely busy. She was the only good part of this experience, because she had good customer service. However she nor her manager could refund me my money because it was too much I know it was too much, I spent it !!!Everybody makes mistakes and I am understanding of that. We've all had our days. But when one order is wrong, one never got made, and you spent your hard earned money to eat this food on your only 45 lunch break of the day, something's got to give.Overall bad experience and waste of money!"

"Pretty horrible experience every time I order here. Unfortunately it?s the closest Panera, which is extra unfortunate because they are very, very, very bad at this location. Missing items in just about every order we make here, and 90% of the time, I geta notification saying it?s ready, and then go in to find they are either still assembling it, or it?s not ready for 5-10minutes. Have contacted their customer service before, but clearly the feedback is not getting to whoever runs this one. "I ordered the Lobster Roll 6/25/2022 around 2PM. The picture of it on the wall appeared to have melted butter all over it, and looked like it was served warm. The real thing turned out to be $24.37, and was ice cold with a strange, spongy texture (not like Lobster to me). The so-called meat was plopped on a roll with a bed of lettuce. I kindly asked for a refund and the manager said they are not supposed to give refunds for the lobster. I told him that I expect this refund, and he said well, if I do that, I 'm going to get in trouble by my boss . He said that twice. Terrible customer service. I got the refund, but when I ordered the French onion soup in a bread bowl as a replacement, it was luke warm. It may be a very long while before I return to this establishment. So disappointing."

"Low stars due to extremely long wait lines, both for ordering and for getting food. Came in before the lunch rush, stood in line behind two other people for at least 15 minutes. Then waited 20 minutes for food. After all that I made the mistake of trying to grab a tea to go. Another 10 minutes in line and 15 minutes for the tea. I should have just left, but I already paid. Frustrating. I know the people felt bad because the guy who made my tea made it a larger size due to the wait, but I really would've preferred not waiting 25 minutes and had the regular size. I suggest this site get more staff who are trained to run the registers. Also, other Panera sites seem to be able to make drinks and not make someone wait behind all the food orders, drive thru orders, etc for a cup of coffee or whatnot. Another reason for the low stars: food quality was okay, but my kids' Mac and Cheese was fairly cold by the time we were served."

"This Panera Bread was by far the dirtiest I’ve ever visited. The trash bins were overflowing, the tables were all dirty, and the fabric seats were torn. The carpet was sticky and littered with food and paper scraps. When I mentioned it to the staff behind the counter, their only response was “okay.” The place was likely understaffed, but it wasn’t even busy."

"During our visit, we opted to use the drive-through service. The staff was extremely friendly and efficient! "I work at Petco in the same plaza as this Panera Bread. I can’t walk over to get my food because the walk would take up most of my break. I ordered through the app at 3 PM, and it initially said my order would arrive at 4:06, then it was delayed to 4:15, but it didn’t actually arrive until 5:03 PM. The driver waited outside for over 45 minutes and even messaged me when they arrived, so I know the delay wasn’t their fault. I could track the driver on the app and saw them sitting outside waiting for my order. Honestly, it felt like Panera completely forgot about my order, which was frustrating for both me and the driver. Their customer service isn’t great, and they don’t seem to care much when they make mistakes or forget orders. On top of that, they forgot to include my chips, which was really annoying."
