"Our experience in general wasn 't good. We were a group of about 15 persons. Even though we had a reservation, a third of the group had to wait 15 mins so that at least two-thrids arrived. The place is noisy. Know that you won 't have a quiet, mellow date dinner, but you may enjoy your time there anyway.The service was exceptionally disappointing. I 've had better service at McDonald 's. However, it may just have been our server. Never came to inquire if we wanted drinks, refills, or wanted to order anything else. In fact, the person who was carrying our orders from the kitchen to our table was more attentive, even if it wasn 't his job. Our server made such a mess of our checks that the manager eventually decided to put our check on the house. Appreciated the gesture, but we don 't like to be freeloaders. So we left a $250 tip to cover at least 60% of our bill.Would go back there but in a small group or just a couple. I 'll give this place another try.Vegetarian options: There are some options for a vegetarian (not sure about vegans). My favorite of this lot was the eggplant tapa. The rest is nothing exceptional if you 're looking for real Spanish (not Mediterranean) cuisine. The Patas Bravas were tasty but definitely not what they 're supposed to be. If you 've eaten authentic Spanish fare and loved it, be prepared to be surprised with decent flavors but fried potatoes and a cream sauce on top.The crown of Spanish dishes is the paella. There are 3 types available. They taste good. BUT they are quite a bit heavy on the oil, and the seafood meats are spare. I suppose that it 's to keep the rice not being sticky and to create the required crust at the bottom of the dish (la costra). Portions of the paella were disappointing, but I 'll say again it was OK for a chain Spanish restaurant in Tennessee. Be prepared to wait for up to an hour for your paella. Order it while you order your appetizers.Portions are not up to par with prices, but accept that you 're going to an upscale restaurant.Parking: There is complimentary valet parking, but remember to tip your valet. Barcelona gets a good score for providing this service.Dietary restrictions: If you have strict dietary restrictions for health, medical, or other purposes, please check their menu and call them with questions before you head there."
