"The menu primarily features noodle soups, along with a few rice dishes and appetizers. To start our meal, they served each of us a small cabbage salad with a light ginger dressing, which was a refreshing introduction. They also provided us with an assortment of fresh banchan, including kimchi, kimchi daikon, and another daikon in a sesame oil marinade, which I particularly enjoyed. For appetizers, we ordered several dishes: the fried dumplings were excellent—crispy without being greasy. We chose the beef option, which came with ten pieces per order. The seafood pancake was decent, though I didn't recall there being much seafood in it. On the other hand, I wasn’t a fan of the kimchi pancake, as I felt the kimchi made it a bit soggy. For my main dish, I opted for the handmade noodles with fish cake. The broth was wonderful and very comforting after a long New Year’s Eve night. I was concerned it might be too fishy or dashi-heavy, but it was just right. The noodles were okay for me, but that's because I'm not particularly fond of doughy or chewy noodles. They were thick, square sheets reminiscent of those hefty wonton wrappers. A noteworthy point is that these noodle bowls are massive—definitely enough for two people! My friend ordered the clam soup, and I was amazed by the number of clams she was pulling out of her bowl. Everyone ordered their own dish, and we each had a full quart container to take home afterward. My husband was the only one who didn’t go for the noodles; he opted for the kimchi fried rice, which is always a safe choice. I look forward to returning to try some of their other soups next time, and I’ll make sure to order the regular noodles. Overall, I’m glad that Halmae Noodle was our first meal of the New Year!"

All waitresses were kind and sweet. I ordered a Gopchang soup and really big portion. After I asked her check, she asked me want to wrap it up before I asked her to do. Felt comfortable to eat and delicious.

Lovely temporary outdoor seating area! Staff are nice and seating feels intimate even though it is located in the middle of a parking lot. Orderer a couple of dishes, but my favorite was charcoal grilled squid!

small, simple, and clean little place. food is pretty good, the soy marinated crab is definitely really good. The cold buckwheat noodles however was lacking in flavor. The broth was boring without any flavor, and the noodles were soggy. The banchans were however amazing and plentiful

This noodle restaurant brings to mind the humble noodle shops in Seoul. It's a no-frills establishment focused on serving great food. Although it's small, it’s quite popular, and diners don’t linger long. Even during peak dinner hours, the wait is usually around 15 minutes, which is well worth it. View menu

I think they make real soup base not vegetable broth, beef broth from costco or supplier. I wanna recommend this korean restaurant to my American friend who want to visit palisades park to taste Korean food. They have variety authentic Korean food with reasonable price. I'll continue to come back here to try other Korean food because I'm so picky in Korean food.

Nothing seasonal about this place. Just another generic korean restaurant with a different name. Ordered chadol dish that was about 22 or 23 dollars, literally they must take about 3-5 chadol strips, chop it up and the rest is cabbage and sookju(bean sprouts? . What a rip off. Anyways, nothing special, just average. Why 2 stars? Chadol dish was a big disappointment..

This place is a hidden gem. I really liked their boodaejjigae. I wanted it a little more spicy and she brought out more peppers and spring onions to put into the broth. I thought that's very thoughtful of her. Their radish kimchi is absolutely amazing. Their kimchi is not good but that was fine for me. Boodaejjigae has a lot of spam and sausage links. It could have more tofu but overall really good. View menu

My go-to restaurant for outdoor dining and a great meal always. Price is just right, portions are more than enough, and love the fact that it isn't over seasoned like many other places. Their side dishes are simple and healthy like seaweed and broccoli, kimchee, bean sprouts and tofu. I am a big fan of their cold noodles, grilled mackerel and intestine soup. It's conveniently located next to a coffee shop also for post meal shake up.

The spicy chicken soup was packed with shredded chicken and had a bit of a spicy kick. It contained burdock and a generous amount of scallions as its vegetables. I found the kimchi soft tofu to be quite good, even better than the spicy chicken soup. The tteokbokki was on the sweeter side but had a decent amount of spice. However, the rice cakes were a tad too soft for my liking, though they weren't mushy. The highlight of the meal for me was the radish kimchi, followed by the kimchi soft tofu soup. The regular kimchi and pickled radish were just okay. The best service came from the busboy, who was much more attentive and friendlier than the other staff members.
